Nice instruction. I always struggle attaching the seat. I’ll try your method tomorrow. Hs Hobie changed the kickstand system since 2018. My legs stay closed an I have to pull the tab for the high position. Your seat was the opposite.
I believe the only year they made them the way yours is was in 2018, then they changed it in 2019 and it’s been the same as what’s in the video ever since.

Yeah they aren’t cheap, but pretty much any Hobie dealer should be able to get one for you. If you’re looking online try paddleva.com and make sure you’re getting the Vantage CTW (wide) not the regular CT

Depends a lot on the persons height. I use an Astral Sturgeon thin back and it’s spot on.
My seat seems to not be wide enough. I can't get the rectangular ends to grab both sides at the same time...
That’s a huge bummer. Hopefully a shop can take care of it for you…
