So beautiful sounds like angels or some kind of celestial beings chanting a messege we can't perceive

It sounds in part to me like “open up your eyes!” for one snippet. Whether to see the glory and beauty down there, or as a stark warning of the terrible power down there and the obsession it can inspire in mere humans (as it did to the professor and Kieran), that’s hard to say.

Briar’s hand gestures when she explains something she’s enthusiastic about make me so happy, she’s adorable. A damn shame that Kieran’s ego had to ruin the trip and cause her to pin the blame on herself.
No one knew about the danger.
No one thought about the danger.
No one assumed there was danger.
Kieran also didn’t just say “ok sure” to Briar’s suggestions. He made the conscious decision to agree. I’ll cut him some slack for not knowing just like everyone else but if he’d just said “no. let’s take this outside.” none of this would’ve occurred. Briar being excited abt her hyperfixation did not influence his decision. He would’ve done that either way.
