Hi, I play football and in the last part of the season I start to notice a bit of pain in the foot. I tried to play with it, but after 1-2 weeks it became to annoying. It never hurt a lot but it was always a little pain there. Stopped playing order and my physiotherapist ordered me an MRI. In the scan they found: Stress reaction in the medial sesamoid under the head of the 1st metatarsal. I have now been 5 weeks out. I started to step up my training a little bit with cycling and some strength training like squat and stuff a week ago. After I started with that I’ve been scared to feel the same pain. When I train now I don’t feel anything, but when I rest I constantly thinking about my foot and I think I feel some kind of pain, discomfort or numbness. Is that normal or is that not good? Can i keep stepping up my training? Hope to get an answer🙏🏼
