I improved my hair by doing all these things: Having more and more vitaminC from orange, lemon, and kiwi, 7-8 hrs of adequate sleep everyday, consume nuts such as walnut, peanut, almonds in limited, you can also have fishes like salmon. Exercise a minimum of 30 mins everyday. Using mild, pure shampoo, neem wooden comb, scalp massager by liitleextra coconion two times a week. All this is good for hair fall control.

My skin just keeps looking better and better since I started teh hyper nourish green smoothies this past weekend. Also my glucometer readings (I do them 2x/day for my diabetes) has lowered (below 100) and I'm so excited. I feel better already; I sleep better. Have energy that sustains me all day. I still exercise daily...I still drink up to 128 oz water...and I just know "internally" my body is saying "yes, yes, yes..finally you get it - keep us healthy, please!"...thanks Dr. G - you bring such wealth of knowledge, your heart & passion in helping others - such an inspiration and great info for me to be aware of like eliminating cheese and meat...so researching what vegetarian recipes will work for me...and encourage my Hubs bit by bit. Mahalo!

Same for me. I agree i was WFPB and it seriously helped my diet without question BUT Brooke is right, too much cooked foods. Now I take a multivitamin and balanced some of my intake of vitamins and minerals and upped the omega 3 with the cooked food and more raw its all so much more balanced. Game changer.

Dr Goldner, I'm 47 years old and 4 years ago I went plant based. Had horrible periods and bad PMS. Those resolved within 6 months. Recently I decided to add more omega 3s to my diet and drink your smoothies. I ate 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup of flaxseeds a day for a week and had hot flashes every night. They were so intense they woke me up. Until this experiment, I had had no hot flashes. I'm not in menopause yet. So I swapped to chia seeds to see if they would help. So far no hot flashes! Could you explain why the flaxseeds caused hot flashes?

      May be flaxseeds are estrogenic

I am so sorry for you, but do not give up hope. Are you or have you been eating sufficient Omega 3 fats? I'm going to refer you to another Dr. Brooke video, where she spells out the importance of healthy fats in the diet. Try her advice and see if it helps:
5.55 "Omega 3 fats (flax seeds, chia seeds, walnuts, avocado......) are anti inflammatory which means they fight inflammation, they fight disease and they help us lose weight. Omega 6 fats, on the other hand, are inflammatory
So when you're taking large amounts of Omega-3 on purpose, to over power the large amount of Omega 6s in your diet, you accelerate healing and fat loss and you increase your metabolism which means that you can gain muscle more easily".
7.30 "The fat from flaxseeds does not get stored on the body if you eat too much of them as they're not used by the body for energy. The flaxseeds actually become the cells in your body, becoming part of the cell membrane so all the cells function and signal better.
So, when you want to send the signal "I want to heal" or "I want to lose fat" the cells respond better because of the Omega-3s that are in the cells. These Omega 3s also become the neurons in your brain that makes your brain function better and signal better so that you are happier and have better memory.
Because the Omega 3s in flaxseed, chia seeds and walnuts actually become part of the cells of your body and are not stored as fat on your body, you get better and stronger. And so, we have found that the more we dose people on healthy fat Omega 3s, the faster they lose fat and the faster they heal - even at doses that exceed the caloric indications for the day. It actually works in the opposite way than you'd expect, and so they heal faster and shed fat faster.
So these smoothies (she makes a cruciferous veg smoothie (80%) with 20% frut to which she adds a half cup or cup of ground flaxseeds) are designed so we shed fat faster and heal faster. And the only fats you want to be consuming are flaxseeds, chia seeds and walnuts".
To the above, I would add a handful of pumpkin seeds - see Michael Greger on the importance of these. I wish you health and healing.

I have had clients regrow hair on this plan. If the follicles are still alive but just inflamed they can recover.
