@@richardbunt2278 lol glad you think so. Speaking on half the people who are experiencing alot of glitches and myself this game hate to say it.. sucks atm..
Since the last update (nov 2023) , I just started the game again and it's awesome. But, last time ( a few months ago) I was able to loot crystals in dark areas. Now, I can punch it but no loot gain. Is it normal? Was it a change in the update? Thanks
1. Not planning ahead for your Faction Alliances. 2. Focusing on rarity instead of level. 3. Neglecting to upgrade HP. 4. Not focusing on claiming windmills. 5. Claiming a base before looting all items. 6. Not revealing points of interest with binoculars. 7. Not checking vendor resources. 8. Not converting shrooms into UV boosters. 9. Rushing to finish the main story.
I have almost 20 hours in and I can say for sure number 2 is a very critical mistake for players who likes to stock up on rarity weapons to use them for "later." Just use the rare, epic, artifact weapon, regardless of what level it is. By the time you get another artifact item, you'll level up and that artifact may not be stronger than a rare weapon that's one level higher than that one. Example, level 5 artifact hammer is weaker than a level 6 epic weapon, considering a level 6 base damage is much higher than the level 5 artifact hammer. So you'll end up getting level 6 common weapons and you'll have an endless supply of lower level weapons stocked up :D I totally didn't have up to 5 artifact weapons at level 3 and didn't use them when I was level 5 with level 5 gears... I just sold the level 3 artifacts xD
I have played 40+ hours and I still have not reached the central loop and I am in no rush to either, Taking my time exploring and slaying zombies. I am prioritizing doing side quests and taking my time and enjoying the game for what it is.
Coming from playing dying light one way back once you have a good stack of money always be buying the crafting parts from vendors it’s helps in the long run keeping your supply up
I keep making my rounds buying all materials from all the vendors lol. After 30 hours, I just got to the part to pick my faction...if that tells you how much looting I've done
fun fact, toughness booster + Regeneration booster = Nigh Immortal character. Max upgrade em and you take half damage, and constantly regenerate health. You heal faster than you are damaged.
@@mftripz8445 Just tested it. Unfortunately not. So pretty much these boosters just prevent infected from killing you. explosions, elemental, environmental, gravity, etc can still get you. But hey, atleast you can use this to confidently do the VNC tower mission, and listen to all of Waltz combat dialogue.
with max boosters, my character doesn't take damage at all from attacks. especially the shield booster. shield booster can you save u more than the toughness one
My tip: upgrading a blueprint such as the medkit does not upgrade medkits already in your inventory. Items in your inventory will still be level 1 but your newly crafted items will be higher level!
@@angelosilva9761 Yeah, but it makes sense. Wouldn't make sense if already bought products would suddenly get enhanced after all, just because you are able to crafs better ones
Disclaimer on the not looting places before claiming them tip: You do not lose any inhibitor crates, I once had accidentally already gone to the screen where you choose a side and thought I had lost it for good but it still shows up
It took me too long to figure out how important uv bars are. It makes immunity boosters obsolete. Not only does it protect you from anything for 8+ seconds, but it also maxes out your immunity!

I made the mistake to fast travel back to old villador (after getting to the new area of the game) and I couldn't get myself back into the newer area for a while. So if anyone else reads this: make sure you unlock fast travel at new villador first. Also, I made the mistake of looting the quarantined zones and getting to the bottom level once it had become day time from night time, and stepping out for a split second to open the doors at ground level from inside, only to find out that Volatiles had spawned once I had gone back to get the last inhibitor 😭😄
@moosemussolini1429 it's been a while since I've played it, but going through those main story quests with that one girl (I forget her name). You'll have to power up some generators and switch them on.
@@Xavier_Breaking_Bad word Thanks fella 👍 I ran into a way bigger annoying issue though NIGHT TIME TIMER .... Just trying to get more comfortable with the fact every time the night time hits or when I walk into a dark area the timer starts I don't make it in time ..never do...basically trying to figure out how I'm supposed to find, fight, and search for loot within 4 minutes you cannot enter any buildings at all that have Inhibitors in them in the daytime the game says to do it at night problem is I'm chased and beaten while getting to that area all while the timer is running out... very very annoying basically getting ready to refund it because of that now I read that I can upgrade that skill but I found out even after I upgraded it all the way I'm still limited to 10 to 15 minutes in any building that cast a shadow... This completely breaks the stealth part of the game It sucks being an adult with a time limit to play a game...
@@moosemussolini1429just upgrade your immunity dude. Maxed out you get like 20+ minutes or just use the immunity boosters found literally anywhere or craft them..
@@moosemussolini1429oh and the metro stations are what you need to get fast travel. Hover over one that you’ve done and hold square/x. Better doing them at night to unlock them
I'm still in the part just after getting the ability to free roam for the first time. I've done all the side-quests I've found and I've been focusing on doing all the windmills I can, getting my stamina upgraded, and exploring. I have no idea how people have beaten this game already. I'm not very far in the game yet, only mistake so far is I died a few times trying to get to the top of the windmill in the north part of the first area... only to find out I can't do anything with it yet.
Whatever you do, DO NOT SELL MAYA’S MUSIC BOX. Make sure you deliver it to her in the Bazaar once you retrieve it. Just a fair warning to spare you some regret that is frustratingly difficult to avoid without knowing beforehand.
Quick combat tip..grapple and headstomp are MADE for each other, and you can even "bank" a headstomp by hitting the button just after the grapple animation.
Most likely for the best while everyone is enjoying myself included there are still a few bugs needing patches so it's perfect to wait but def get it if someone said this game is doo doo they lying it's amazing for sure.
Whenever you’re near a craft master, always buy their scrap, literally everything that can be crafted requires scrap and you’d be suprised how fast you can run out of it.
THIS OMG THIS.. once i could afford it i bought up all scraps and electrical parts and some other items every time i was in a settlement.. it made the game so much better as i never lacked supplies to apply a mod or make a throwable or special arrow, etc...
Ya, I agree, do not rush through the main story folks, enjoy every little bit of challenges, side quests, exploration, map reveal and such prior rushing through all main story quests. Loot first map zone (Old Villador), make sure you've discovered all "Question mark" locations, visit all the dark zones, quarantine buildings, loot as much as you can, buy resources from every single vendor you come across of as they are cheap and you'll be happy you'd done so by the time you unlock the the second map zone (Central loop). Gaming tastes are different, some don't care bout side stuff and just want to complete the story asap, but if u'r like me then, u'd make sure u have at least 200+ hours in the game in the end, not gonna be surprised if i end up with 300-400 hours in the end given that DLCs are a possibility. Honestly, I haven't unlocked the 2nd map zone yet (Central Loop) with the skylight buildings as I still have a few places to loot/explore 50 hours in on the first map, so ya, if you don't get bored and enjoy running/parkouring around as well as if you are a loot whore then definitely take your time exploring every corner, loot the crap out of "Old Villador", maybe not once, but few times, farm it and only then, once you have plentiful of resources, move on to (Central Loop) zone. Try to also rank up your combat and parkour skills early on before moving on far in the game, do spend time farming/maximizing your parkour skill tree in the first hours of the game on the first map. This will make you happier and make it more enjoyable if you have your character as boosted/ranked up as possible early on rather than unlocking final skills by the end of the game making it less valuable and less enjoyable since you've done it all, but ranking up your character, and now that you finished the game you might not have enough things left to do to enjoy your last ranked skills. All in all, main point out of all: make sure you have Old Villador map fully discovered, explored, looted, side quests done, challenges tried, all looting dark zones checked, character is well ranked up in both parkour and combat as well as health and stamina of at least 7 prior doing all the story quests on that map and moving on to the second map zone Central Loop as well as have a few tens of thousands of dollars in your wallet, all that will help you out and make it easier. Money is not hard to make if you loot and sell all the time. Make sure you always sell your valuables under "Missalenious" section of your inventory, they have no use, but worth a loot. There is much more to this, but thats all that came to mind for now... The game is huge! I already can't wait for Dying Light 3 :)))
I already beat the story, i played straight through it and now i am focusing on going back and just exploring, completing side quests with my friends, and just stacking weapons and armor. This game is really amazing
Me too. The story was really underwhelming to me the side quests are way better. I feel like the story would have been way better if they focused on the story of the characters in the city rather than Mia and Waltz
I haven't played Dying Light since Xbox years ago, but have always loved this game. I chose your video over an option to watch the first 60 mins of gameplay because I wanted to know the more important details. I have to say that your video was very informative and well done. I appreciate the information. It was even easy to follow for a Dying Light player who has been out of the game for a long time. Take care bro.
If you get all inhibitors, you can at most upgrade stamina or health 42 times, minus 2 when Hakon gives you 1 health, and you get 1 stamina in the hospital. The max stamina or health is 26. Personally, I would go all stamina then rest health. Giving you the ratio of 16:26, health:stamina.
But at what point is the extra stamina completely unnecessary for the paraglider? The regen booster is 3% health per second. The higher you can scale the health, the more effective that booster becomes. At some point you'd probably break damage thresholds by having a higher healing output than enemy damage input. Right?
also a perma problem: DONT join anyone's mulitplayer game when you obtain the paraglider, it causes a bug where back in your own game you are stuck in a death loop of 4 seconds with no fix. the devs know about this and hope there is a fix soon.
i had to start the game again after 30 hours of playtime, a friend of mine helped me speed run it back to where i was in 5-6 hour..... then it happened to him :(
@@o.t.t5172 I think he knows that, and I think you knew he meant that 😂 dude was expressing his enjoyment of the game , yet someone has to be pedantic and find something to pick out instead of just agreeing with him and echoing his enjoyment of the game
Crafting reagents are wildly important. If you run out, you can't mod your weapons or build single use weapons. Moltovs are amazing. Throwing knives are good too, cuz they have range without creating a no-go zone like moltovs and they can be used without changing weapons. I think bows are the most important tool(and the crossbow). I literally buy ALL the crafting reagents from the venders and use them to craft arrows and bolts. Feathers become a bottleneck, so buying them whenever you can is worth it. Also bows don't show up very often, so if you find a better one, just buy it.
I'm gonna be real honest with you I've been leveling Aiden to the max, collecting all blueprints and just supplying myself with a ton of loot but also enjoyed the geme while doing it (thanks for the helpful videos for finding the blueprints) the reason for this is i wanted to make a new game plus so i could mainly focus on the story then collecting supplies to survive but i was a bit disappointed that it doesn't have new game plus yet.
I intentionally ignore most windmills and really only activate night runner hideouts to make the game feel more apocalyptic and desolate, but now that i know some side quests come with them i guess ill activate em
I wish I had gone 100% survivors because every peacekeeper base gets shit on by the color blue. Blue is great color but they painted everything in the base blue.
I upgraded stamina 3 times before matching health, and before I got to the central loop I was at 7 and 8 in both health and stamina, so if you just do things based on what you feel you need and look thoroughly around the first section you'll be fine, I even came across a couple instances where in missions i came across an inhibitor chest I had found way earlier on accident lol
kinda about the same - since skills are also locked to health/stam, it's better to sort of get access to some really nice skills, rather than like triple down on stamina ASAP
same here i was running around exploring allday yesterday waiting for my friends to jump on n now theyre asking where i giet my artifact weapons from amd i dont even know ive been allover villedor🤣 i love it but there something fabout thr 1st game i like more it felt more gritty than this one just my opinion.
@@m6_jedi953 i think you're kinda right, this world feels more 'accessible' than before. part of it is the combat, you're expected to fight in this one, whereas DL1 it's not really as much a focus. so, you get 24 weapon slots, you get decent weapons from the start, rather than like 15 hours of 'can't kick ass that well' sort of shit. streets not being sometimes literally flooded with zombies, helps too - you 'could' kill about as easily in this game, early on, yet there were way more zombies, so you didn't bother. it's like going into a dark zone during the day, without powerful shit you get overwhelmed.

Here's a tip for farming zombie trophies: Cillian's place is the perfect bottleneck to kill virals as the bridges of his house funnel then effectively and the rope sides stop their bodies from going over the side. Step 1: kill a Howler and loot it so that a Chase started. Step 2: climb up to Cillian's place. Step 3: go to the bridge furthest from the lights as it has an airvent and roof hatch to spawn virals from to keep the chase going. Step 4: kill 25-30 Virals until Chase 4 happens or a Volatile appears. Step 5: hide in the lights until the chase ends Step 6: rinse and repeat. I've managed to get around 80 uncommon and 8 or so rare trophies in a single night as well as a lot off combat exp due to Chases multiplying exp and Nighttime adding to exp.
@@luisxgarcialg That's why Cillian's place is best because it has a hatch and air vent that keeps spawning them and if it stops you can drop down on the right next to the bridge onto another airvent to keep them spawning.
pro prop tip: DON'T kill the howlers. just annoy them and run away. you can come back and trigger the same howler over and over if you have a good bottleneck somewhere
Another another thing that a lot of people are not talking about is that it's best to do every activity at night time and sleep during the day and also going into the open world to retrieve materials also give you the chance to get infected trophies.
You may enjoy running around and bashing all of the zombies/biters heads in like a parkour super hero, but if you sneak, you can clear an area without wasting too much weapon durability. I know it isn't a "fun" thing to do, but it helps if you decided to sell a lot of your stuff for quick cash.
one thing to add is that when you do assign the facility to a faction it does not get rid of inhibitor crates in the facility nor any loot that isn’t in a spot that’s changed. what i mean by that is if there is going to be a vendor shop set up where a loot chest once was the chest will disappear after assigning the facility, but loot that isn’t in an area that is changed stays. so just remember not all loot will disappear.
Don't be in a rush to finish old velidor, I had active side quests but then I did the main story and now I can't do those side quests anymore. Only a few like the one with hubie but still.
Great vid, games like these i tend to stay away from story missions until I have too. Try to full clear zones, and loot everything. Its the little things i enjoy.
Here’s a major one, once you go to the new area, stay there cause I got softlock twice cause the fast travel to the new area just wasn’t unlocked or it makes you get a new one
Do all the side quests you can find first. Some game choices close off areas in the game permanently causing you to miss a lot. I had 5 side quests waiting and now they just sit there saying they are complete but never going away on the map. I had to start a second play through because of it and am probably going to do a 3rd play through to get things I still missed in the second.
There are so many different options with different outcomes in this game. The choices sort of all follow the same path but getting there is very different each time
You know maya? The little girl who asks you to get a music box from a giant zombie for her? She says you can sell it for a good buck if you want, but I already preferred to see if the game would give me an option to return it to her. God damn thing throws the musicbox on the lump of collectibles you can sell by holding C. AND THEN WHEN I RETURN TO HER SHE'S LIKE: Oh... You sold it... Okay... :l My consciousness is torturing me rn :(
Exactly what happened to me! I didn’t get a prompt to return to her which was weird, but I figured this was just a forgotten fetch quest. Sold all my goods at a random vendor, and randomly ran in to her at the Bazaar where my heart completely broke. I felt horrible haha
The quest should have you return to her once the box is acquired. Otherwise it ending up in collectibles is a setup to ensure most people never complete the quest properly.
@@Khrazegaming bro I feel like restarting the game just to make Maya happy... Wait... I think I might have realized something. IS MAYA GAZI'S DAUGHTER?! IF MAYA AIN'T HAPPY NOBODY HAPPY?! D: MY GOODNESS (gasps in epiphany)
Biggest mistake finishing the game ... The map gets drastically worse , I hope there comes some sort of way to undo it in the future. Also I hope to see a new game plus mode added.
Tip, if you go to both craftmaster and vendor you can get all there resources, then sleep and repeat. tip 2, dont make immunity boosters with UV Shrooms. UV shrooms are only for using during chemical places where your time is very low. I have over 160 immunity boosters and havent made one, you get them ALOT, you get one out of every Inhibitor crates and those encounters give you one everytime too.
@@TheDragonfriday i just buy artifact weapons from vendor and slap a mod on handle to reduce durability consumption by 100% (its maxed) lasts me about as long as repairing weapons back in DL1. Well more specifically i will use the weapon to lose 50 durability and then ill use that mod, lose another 50 durability then throw in a damage mod and so on and so forth. usually ill gain a level or so before im done with 3-4 weapons and gotta buy new weapons for new damage upgrades.
You can add a weapon charm called "Korek" which gives you weapon repair +500 durability. You can just keep adding the charm to your weapon whenever you like to keep fixing it.
I bought this game a few days ago, and I love it, I was hooked on the first one and this one is even better, the story is quite interesting and surprisingly different compared to the first game, the gameplay feels so smooth, the combat is nice, the parrying and dodging was done well and the parkour is incredible, the fact that you can jump over building and some doors are open for you to enter is really cool, and I like the idea that idea that you can make decisions to add more ziplines and other ways to travel across the map is incredible, I haven’t found a single flaw yet (10 hours in) and the glitches aren’t game breaking, they are pretty funny. The game is so good and I am glad I bought it
My experience is that you need very much arrows after getting peackeeper's crossbow to fight high level bandits, virals and volatiles. So from the early of game, try always looting or buying feathers!! They are really important to create different typea of arrows.
I love the game. It's fun and pretty polished for a triple a game these days. But a huge mistake with this game is the lack of a manual save. I've already had a run that was ruined because I made a mistake of entering an area for a quest without enough immunity crap to get thru the area in time but it seems I don't have the ability to backtrack and get out of the area and if I quit it starts me inside of area so I can never get out. So what happens? The entire playthrough is dead and I have to start over. No restarting mission or checkpoint, the whole run is fucked and all I can do is start over. They really need to fix this since I've heard a few others that have run into similar situations and had to start over also. This is a big fuckup but easily fixable.... But besides that I've really injoyed the game.
I definately rushed through to get an ending on my first pt, but on my second im going for the plat so taking my time. Enjoyed the hell out of the rushed pt too though.
I chose PK to get the crossbow and it did the exact opposite, gave me survivors instead. It was at the Saint Paul water tower and it was the last facility. I think I’m going to restart the game and see if it happened again.
before you upgrade the immunity booster to decent, there's also the uv light consumables. even super early on, a few seconds of uv should fully restore your infection. 30 seconds ish out of like 7 mins, maybe a minute with like 10% immunity booster, or the whole thing with a uv light.
@@danielhuisman1996 to be fair, i hadn't noticed how often you get the maxed out immunity boosters from chests. you can have a hell of a stockpile of them, without needing to max out the crafting item, too, so now i get what the video's talking about more. but still, yeah. a moment of peace, refill the entire bar, though they don't give them out like candy.
@@lukekearney1704 its not that they're glitched (maybe) its that you can get the maxed out ones in chests sometimes. so if you haven't crafted any, that's why they're filling up pretty much the whole bar, because they're the sort of 'military/GNC' grade ones. unless you mean you upgraded health or stamina like once, and got 10 mins of immunity
I usually play a game and rush to finish it then I’ll go back and play it slowly from the start again, but that’s just because I’m so bloody excited to see where the story is going
I enjoy the scaling of this game because it will allow me to speed through the story to at least where I get all the traversal tools then do everything else before finishing the main quest line
You can miss some side missions this way. At least try to do all side missions in the bazaar, do the little kid trying to find his dog mission and do Maya's mission. But yeah I did the main missions until I got the para-glider then went back to the 1st map and was gliding all over. I
One thing i gotta stop doing is being afraid and hitting jump again or backing out of a jump midway, also night is no joke at first, im still not jumping into it as much
The inhibitor booster is a little wrong when you explained it Yes it restores a massive amount of your immunity but you were in a chemical zone and the percents add up weird there The booster itself adds a 30 percent to your bar at its BASE that itself is very strong But as you level up your imunity boosts and it’ll start to seem like it’s no better then the uv shrooms so it’s imperative that you upgrade the blueprint as much as you can via exploit or otherwise
You can lose access to the bazaar, so check vids on what can be accomplished there before choosing the peacekeepers for that area. Also, in the most northern section of the first area, there's a settlement that's on fire now that I cannot access (It's peacekeepers for me). I never explored there originally and idk what happened. I believe it was during a survivor attack against them at some point and I never got to look inside that spot. You've covered this before but, mod your weapons as they degrade cuz all mods add 50 durability when you apply it. I just got the UV light and about to get the grappling hook. I heard at this point once you start taking over the communication towers (From what I've heard) you will begin to have map icon positions of all inhibitor locations. I've been increasing my health and stamina equally, now lvl 7 for both and believe I'm ready to take on my first tower. Once I get the grappling hook and my first tower I'm going to stop with quests, do all the towers I can and go back to exploring.
LIQUIDATOR DISAPPEARS BEFORE THE FINAL MISSION! Let me explain. Before the final mission, you are given a notice that "this is the beginning of the epilog" you can back out or push on from there. I went to back out so I specifically could go to the liquidator before I missed him. Found out I was too late. Go before the dam/veronika mission. That's my best idea for when he would disappear alot happens during that mission that changes the game and map.
maybe don't go to 300 - skills are stat locked, so getting like 45 immunity boosters to get high stam early, means you basically can't unlock even the decent early combat upgrade stuff.

I have like 120 hours, I unlocked every point in the map and I'm still in "A Place To Call Home". I just turned to legendary like an hour ago and now I'm at level 14 lol. I'm a Dying Light vet.
Another great tip is wait until your favourite weapon is half health before applying mods, that way the kids will heal the damage making it last longer!
My theory is adding the mod on a new weapon is better because the percentage of damage reduction ratio is higher when modded. You can quickly burn down a non-modded weapon very fast to 1/2 way compared to a modded one.
I just got the game recently and started playing and have actually made a lot of these mistakes but i will be getting a new set up soon so definitely gonna restart and follow all your helpful tips 👍🏻

I bought this game when it first released. (I loved the first one) I'm just now getting into it. I had so many games I was in the middle of I just couldn't start it up just yet. Thanks for the heads-up on which faction to lean toward. I was actually thinking the same thing when I was told what the perks were for each one.
Thank you for your useful advice. I never used to watch videos, preferring instead to play the game; thinking that watching them was vaguely like cheating. Well, over time I realised how stupid a thought that was, for example, when I started playing another game called theHunter: Call of the Wild, it took me fifty odd hours to get to a specific level. A friend started the game and got to the same point in just a few hours; so I watched a video recommended for beginners; then, restarted my game and was able to do the same. Useful tips are always welcome, especially if they enhance the game play as I'm sure your advice will do. I'm still on the linear part of the game and am looking forwards to many hors of zombie killing and parkour.. Again, thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts. :)
As far as who to side with and rewards go - the game is easy enough. Don't fret about the rewards each side offers you. Especially since the PKs give you mainly attack weapons, and you get good weapons anyways, and supplies are relatively plentiful. Go with who you want to see the story playout how you'd like it to play out. I went with survivors the first time, going to go PKs the 2nd time.
Don’t fast travel back to the first area after getting to the second area (downtown) before unlocking a fast travel point downtown. You can’t get back unless you glitch back. (Solution on Reddit)
I have seen people mentioning this a lot on Reddit and I don't understand how you can unlock a fast travel point in Old Villedor before going to the city center. I was never able to get into a metro station at night or during the day in the first part of the game. I still haven't tried to go into a metro station (I'm currently a couple of main mission into the city center) because I've been assuming the game would point me towards at least one mission, main or side, where you do it. So my question is: how would you unlock a metro station prior to the power being turned on (which only happens when you go to the city center)? Does the game eventually give you a mission to unlock a metro station?
Unlike the first game, craftables are not only highly viable weapons but even op in the early stages of the game. When my weapons were still dealing like 30 damage I'd pooled all my resources into upgrading the molotovs which were doing over 400 damage a pop and in a huge area while being dirt cheap to make so from the start I knew buying resources from the vendors would be one of my biggest priorities. I mean crafting resources were cheap as hell. Also I knew the vendors were only selling garbage weapons and gear I'd outgrow soon so resources were literally the only thing I felt was worth paying for. Before even leaving villidor I had the resources to craft thousands of arrows and hundreds of other throwables like UV flares, molotovs, grenades, knives, etc.
Once you mod the weapons that drop with higher rarity, you get WAY more stellar stats. That advice applies to people who haven't obtained mods yet. After mods, the more slots, and the higher you upgrade the mods, the better the weapon.
eh, true, but like dude said, a weapon that's outright got more damage is still important. especially if it's only missing one mod slot - that might be a little over 50 dur, and missing some damage, but then the higher base damage still means it's pretty worthwhile, and not 'tempted to throw it away because it's not an artifact' ish stuff.
I made the mistake in the beginning of skipping the side quests for later then got to the fish eye and found out that a lot of the side quests I put on hold before are “no longer available?” I guess due to the choices I made or whatever… for instance I tried to go and warn the guy not to drink the poisoned water and he just stood there looking at me not saying anything and when I tried to hit him my weapon just went through him
So far only mistake I've made is the UV Shroom one and now I know the better way.. I put 100+ hours into Dying Light 1 and alot of those smarts learned transition well to part 2..
There's a bug with grapple, glider, and uv flashlight. Early on if you goto a craftsmaster and you are able to upgrade those that I just listed, DO NOT UPGRADE IT. Once you unlock it, you won't be able to upgrade it and the things that you upgraded will be locked at the first level
I just found out that the game doesn’t scale with you after level 6, until after the game ends. Gave me quite a shock to do a bandit encounter with folks 2 ranks higher than my gear.
IMO siding with the PKs in Old Villador is the better route. They we’re more helpful and welcoming while the bazaar folk were just trying to kill Aidon multiple times. Good idea to finish all side quests from the bazaar to rank up before it gets destroyed. (Once you get to the end game you’ll hardly ever go back to the bazaar) Grab inhibitors so that by the time you get to the city you’ll be a little OP. Give the radio tower to frank and side with the night runners for good ending. And as far as territories better to give them all to PKs because once you get to the end game your paraglider and grappling hook upgrades will be more useful for traverse and exploration than the survival unlocks. when the zombies start to scale to your rank the traps and back up are going to be more useful and more fun
8:33 you said there’s some events that change things. I wanna know what I should do before completing the main story so I don’t miss it permanently like for example a weapon blueprint other than the liquidator
What I remember, DON'T go the toxic GRE facility with Veronika, after you finish that part, you LOSE your GRE key in the open world, you can magically can get back for GRE building raids at night, but I haven't been able to use it on military drops when getting computer chips, unless I spent 25lockpicks. That's the one that pissed me off. I'm at epilogue, where I need to confront Waltz, after that, I'm restarting and doing my best to not screw things up.
It shouldn’t matter as you can just dupe weapons and shit from other people and you can use the korek charm which makes it never break from durability. Personally I don’t care about that blueprint the weapon doesn’t look that great to me I would prefer baseball bat or an axe but I know all I have to do is find someone who has the weapon who is willing to dupe it with me
Always hit the rooftop honey farms, and never forget to get all the chamomile. You will always need med kits. I will go out of my way if I see one on the way to a quest. Edit: side note, don't just craft 20+ medkits at once if you are in a position to upgrade your medkits at the craft masters relatively soon. I made the mistake of having 20+ medkits being two steps below my current upgrade level. They do have a use, as the smaller heals you might need sometimes in-between big in game activities, but they are kindof a waste, as if you can make due with >10 at a time it would be better to save the materials for the next upgrade level.
I dunno bro, I'm on level 15 stamina and level 3 health. I don't die to enemies in this game, I die to fall damage. Not to mention, with high levels of stamina most enemies that aren't minibosses can just be stun-locked in hordes, and if you're actually having issue you can just... leave. Find a minor incline, jump, open paraglider, use speedboost when you're gaining air to go up until you run out of stamina. AKA, the tech you can use to get to the top of VNC tower by just finding any air current around the building.
For #2 I'd rather have 3 mod slots cause there's a Charm that gives you 500 Durability and you can slap it back again and it will fill up the durability again. Technically you will have unlimited Durability as long as you're paying attention on the durability. Mixing 2 Mods and add DMG on grip is more beneficial than just higher level.
for the stamina vs hp thing, i just went max stamina and used the inhibitors that were leftover for hp (max stam and lvl1 16 hp) i think it worked pretty well, not that u should really care about this with ng+ existing lol
I rushed through the campaign. Big mistake when fighting final boss. Had to to call for help by other online players to beat him cuz I had the most basic weapons and ran out of resources. and it was on east mode. . My biggest tip. Spend a day learning about the game, best weapons, how armor works, how weapons level up, how to upgrade mods etc. if you don’t understand something research online take out some paper and write notes. You’ll have more fun instead of frustration
I like rushing up until the glider, this way you have both sides open and its helps getting around, especially when its upgraded. Other than that there is so much more to this game i missed my first play through. I got this game when it came out, liked but just could not get into it for some reason. Now i am playing it and can't stop.
Plan Ahead > For the single faction, I've always been going full PK. So no worries for me there. Loot Level > I'm a loot goblin that has played way too much Skyrim. I hoard a LOT. So no worries for me there. HP Stamina > I've never gotten this far just yet but I was planning on doing this anyways. Get stamina to 300 then focus on HP.
I was also looting like crazy for resources like scraps and shit and like 15 hrs in i realize i can just buy it from the vendors. It's not so difficult to collect money in the game as collecting specific crafting material.
Bro i got so happy that i didnt sell that, i found her in bazar after the mission and gave it to her, since she said thats the only memory she got from her mother
I had to restart from the beginning,… on the mission where you run from the guy ur keeping the key from with that sniper… she went through a door and I went to follow her… and FELL THROUGH THE FLOOR…. Then it started to re load me falling and I was stuck in a loop….😟 also the pk (peace keepers) I personally don’t see as useful… the game is designed to be played as a parkour runner… and the pk DONT give u that stuff… the vents that help u fly through the air when u have ur glider are got/built by the survivors… and the zip-lines etc. These are the things I would have thought people would want to be putting round the city… but that’s just me
one of the first quests you get from the Bazaar about investigating the poisoned water will glitch if you unlock the water tower story before completing it, locking the mission icon on your map.
@@Danny-ko4zl it's the poisoned water mission. I have an icon on the map to go talk to the supplier but the mission counts as completed and won't remove the marker or quest
Only 6 hours in and didn't realise artifact was a quality, I found an artifact coat and it seemed pretty good, just assumed it was a one of a kind coat!
Oh dear... loot level can scale ALOT higher then 3 levels above you. You can get level 9 loot the minute you reach the main city. Just look up an interactive map and head south to the water and collect the underwater airdrops (there's 12 of them.) Booom level 8 or 9 purple or legendary weapons and armor from the second you leave the first part of the city. Fun thing is, whenever you sleep you can go back and loot the chest again and just stash excess loot in your locker for later use or sell it. It is somewhat game breaking though as you'll be one shotting enemies till very late in the game.

Huge mistake #1-you payed money for this pile of shit.
I have almost 20 hours in and I can say for sure number 2 is a very critical mistake for players who likes to stock up on rarity weapons to use them for "later."
Just use the rare, epic, artifact weapon, regardless of what level it is.
So you'll end up getting level 6 common weapons and you'll have an endless supply of lower level weapons stocked up :D
I totally didn't have up to 5 artifact weapons at level 3 and didn't use them when I was level 5 with level 5 gears... I just sold the level 3 artifacts xD
@@suyoze1747 I learned this when I got that antique artifact hammer, got to central loop, and found a green weapon that did 17 more damage :(
You can make uv boosters with shrooms?
Thanks for the work, but where are my time stamps? :P
Easy to avoid making mistakes when the game is so broken, you cannot progress.

Can you confirm if this method can be used to explore the THV areas (Outside the map without that particular bridge glitch)
Ah! I use those cheap medkits on my friends. Keep the special ones for myself. :P
Yeah, picked up on that annoying little detail. I get it, but still.

@@angelosilva9761 Yeah, but it makes sense. Wouldn't make sense if already bought products would suddenly get enhanced after all, just because you are able to crafs better ones
My advice, never forget about molotov cocktails. 5v1 fights are a lot more in your favor if you use them.
Just an FYI, if you claim an area with an inhibitor in it, all the loot will disappear, but the inhibitor will be moved to a desk near your stash/bed.
Disclaimer on the not looting places before claiming them tip: You do not lose any inhibitor crates, I once had accidentally already gone to the screen where you choose a side and thought I had lost it for good but it still shows up

NIGHT TIME TIMER ....
Just trying to get more comfortable with the fact every time the night time hits or when I walk into a dark area the timer starts
I don't make it in time ..never do...basically trying to figure out how I'm supposed to find, fight, and search for loot within 4 minutes you cannot enter any buildings at all that have Inhibitors in them in the daytime the game says to do it at night problem is I'm chased and beaten while getting to that area all while the timer is running out...
very very annoying basically getting ready to refund it because of that now I read that I can upgrade that skill but I found out even after I upgraded it all the way I'm still limited to 10 to 15 minutes in any building that cast a shadow...
This completely breaks the stealth part of the game

I already can't wait for Dying Light 3 :)))
this is true because alot of side quest unlock extra dialogue options in the main story.

In dying light 3 I hope we get to play as aiden and sentient volatile Kyle crane. Its most likely won't happen though

Or a simplified 8:13 ratio of health to stamina.
But at what point is the extra stamina completely unnecessary for the paraglider? The regen booster is 3% health per second. The higher you can scale the health, the more effective that booster becomes. At some point you'd probably break damage thresholds by having a higher healing output than enemy damage input. Right?
Don't worry about deciding which to max out, stam or hp.
Because NG+ will add in 30 more inhibitors to let you max out both stamina and health
I got enough in my first playthrough to max both
also a perma problem: DONT join anyone's mulitplayer game when you obtain the paraglider, it causes a bug where back in your own game you are stuck in a death loop of 4 seconds with no fix. the devs know about this and hope there is a fix soon.

Step 5: hide in the lights until the chase ends
Step 6: rinse and repeat.
I've managed to get around 80 uncommon and 8 or so rare trophies in a single night as well as a lot off combat exp due to Chases multiplying exp and Nighttime adding to exp.
I try to do this and the chase just stops cause the virals stop coming
10. Crafting things BEFORE you upgrade the perk that makes that item better
Okay... :l
My consciousness is torturing me rn :(
Exactly what happened to me!
Otherwise it ending up in collectibles is a setup to ensure most people never complete the quest properly.
did this too and shut the whole game off and got lucky enough to go back before I sold it lol
This is exactly what I did. I still have no idea what would've happened :(

I have over 160 immunity boosters and havent made one, you get them ALOT, you get one out of every Inhibitor crates and those encounters give you one everytime too.
i just buy every lv1 immunity booster whenever I visit a vendor, never ran out at all during nightruns/quests
@Squant bro i haven’t used one UV shroom to make any immunity boosters. i have over 300 immunity boosters just for doing blue diamond encounters 🤣🤣🤣
@@Banana-cc5rx just do the blue diamond encounters 🤣 they give you a max level rage or immunity boosters
I don’t understand how anyone will choose a weapon based on rarity when there is a massive number that tells you it’s strength right there..
I dislike you can't repair weapons, yes only modified few times but that it
@@TheDragonfriday i just buy artifact weapons from vendor and slap a mod on handle to reduce durability consumption by 100% (its maxed) lasts me about as long as repairing weapons back in DL1.

Thats crazy good to know
Bro... Sleep is manual save lol. If you didn't figure it out on your own yet
The booster crafting tip is useful, because I constantly find myself having 40+ shrooms and nothing to do with them.
Whats upsetting is how bad the bug is for the dialogue between Aiden and some plot important characters

I definately rushed through to get an ending on my first pt, but on my second im going for the plat so taking my time. Enjoyed the hell out of the rushed pt too though.
I just started the game yesterday and I'm barely 10 hours in and really taking my time and thank God I stumbled onto ur video. Big help ❤️ Thank you.
I chose PK to get the crossbow and it did the exact opposite, gave me survivors instead. It was at the Saint Paul water tower and it was the last facility. I think I’m going to restart the game and see if it happened again.
Interesting, I chose the pks, got the pks, no crossbow. Also, the bazaar has been abandoned. Bummed out by that last one.

before you upgrade the immunity booster to decent, there's also the uv light consumables.
even super early on, a few seconds of uv should fully restore your infection. 30 seconds ish out of like 7 mins, maybe a minute with like 10% immunity booster, or the whole thing with a uv light.
they also repel zombies and work for everyone if you play co-op!
My immunity boosters were glitched and gave me full immunity on my first run, gonna suck next run when its fixed lol
@@lukekearney1704 its not that they're glitched (maybe) its that you can get the maxed out ones in chests sometimes.
so if you haven't crafted any, that's why they're filling up pretty much the whole bar, because they're the sort of 'military/GNC' grade ones.

One thing i gotta stop doing is being afraid and hitting jump again or backing out of a jump midway, also night is no joke at first, im still not jumping into it as much
The inhibitor booster is a little wrong when you explained it
Yes it restores a massive amount of your immunity but you were in a chemical zone and the percents add up weird there
The booster itself adds a 30 percent to your bar at its BASE that itself is very strong
But as you level up your imunity boosts and it’ll start to seem like it’s no better then the uv shrooms so it’s imperative that you upgrade the blueprint as much as you can via exploit or otherwise
he didn't bother to read the description of the booster :D
You know how to correct these mistakes. 2nd play through. Im definitely replaying this gem
that's the way haha
LIQUIDATOR DISAPPEARS BEFORE THE FINAL MISSION! Let me explain. Before the final mission, you are given a notice that "this is the beginning of the epilog" you can back out or push on from there. I went to back out so I specifically could go to the liquidator before I missed him. Found out I was too late. Go before the dam/veronika mission. That's my best idea for when he would disappear alot happens during that mission that changes the game and map.
Life saver…the one that stuck out to me the most is the weapon level & to level stamina first, thanks mate
maybe don't go to 300 - skills are stat locked, so getting like 45 immunity boosters to get high stam early, means you basically can't unlock even the decent early combat upgrade stuff.

Another great tip is wait until your favourite weapon is half health before applying mods, that way the kids will heal the damage making it last longer!
Ah yes
KIDS are sacrificed for durability
Kids are amazing, love it when they heal my weapons!
you can also go to dev room and take korek charm that u can apply infinetly that repairs your weapon for 500 durability
My theory is adding the mod on a new weapon is better because the percentage of damage reduction ratio is higher when modded.
You can quickly burn down a non-modded weapon very fast to 1/2 way compared to a modded one.

Also use up the weapon then mod it as you get durability back
I made the mistake in the beginning of skipping the side quests for later then got to the fish eye and found out that a lot of the side quests I put on hold before are “no longer available?” I guess due to the choices I made or whatever… for instance I tried to go and warn the guy not to drink the poisoned water and he just stood there looking at me not saying anything and when I tried to hit him my weapon just went through him
So far only mistake I've made is the UV Shroom one and now I know the better way.. I put 100+ hours into Dying Light 1 and alot of those smarts learned transition well to part 2..
Don't waste your time with those. But the time you level up you don't need any the whole night basically
There's a bug with grapple, glider, and uv flashlight. Early on if you goto a craftsmaster and you are able to upgrade those that I just listed, DO NOT UPGRADE IT. Once you unlock it, you won't be able to upgrade it and the things that you upgraded will be locked at the first level
too late... did the same, glidar stayed on lvl1. xD nvm i wont restart the game for just this.
Happened to me too
So you were able to upgrade the items before you got them and that breaks it? I am not following what not to do and when it is okay to upgrade
@@killer01ws6 yes, do NOT upgrade before you actually get the items in YOUR storyline.
Is there a fix to this? Too late for me mines messed up. Hopefully devs got this covered soon lvl 1 paraglider is painful

They do have a use, as the smaller heals you might need sometimes in-between big in game activities, but they are kindof a waste, as if you can make due with >10 at a time it would be better to save the materials for the next upgrade level.
i think that survivors are better becuase they give a lot of movement skills. just upgrade the peacekeepers to lvl 4 so you get the crossbow
See that's exactly how I feel but is there enough skill points available to do that? That was the only issue I thought of.
