I am learning alot...and your pieces are so beautifully crafted! just wanted to ask the dimensions of the wooden shelves you use in your studio would also like to have some made as they seem quite efficient and very useful all around. thanks so much in advance
what exactly is being painted on the bottom of the pieces? A wax of some sort I would guess; is this a product, or is it simply that any melted wax will work?
It's the wax emulsion from Scarva Pottery Suppliers mixed down with a touch of boiling water. Most pottery suppliers will sell more or less the same product I think but equally you can just use normal wax or paraffin wax, melted slowly over a candlelight or a hob on low.

Are the pieces food safe if the glaze crazes like that? Or is some other process/chemistry giving it that crackle look?
