    I took a pottery “class” once and it’s so difficult to get things centered and then try to even get the shape of a pot. Watching you do it easily is really fun to watch

      I remember I had pottery class as well. I always thought it was super easy. It's really fun but it's difficult to learn the basics, it's a weird substance to work with.

      I agree with your opinion. It is also interesting to know your opinion about my videos. In one of the videos, I made a leather clutch with jewelry brass knuckles in the form of rings.

    00:30. Those teapots lined up on the ware board are Very beautiful! They must be your signature piece. They are at the leather hard stage, which feels a lot like chocolate!

    i wish i knew about using a straight edge for the outside. I tried making mugs in Ceramics class in highschool and its so hard to not get any finger prints/correct shape of them

    This process is lovely. Pottery is on my to-do list to try out so I can look at what I've made or make someone smile. How long have you been a doing pottery for? Quite some time it looks like. Good job and beautiful artwork

      Thank you! It’s such a fulfilling craft, takes some time to learn, like anything but it’s so gratifying making the bowls and mugs you use everyday to eat and drink from. I’ve been making pots now for about 11 years.

    thank you for the video! it was such a relaxing watch. i have two questions: how short do you have to cut your nails so they don't interfere with the throwing stage? also, does water ever drip down into your long sleeve, and how much does that suck on a scale of one to ten?

      Thank you very much! Well, I keep them relatively short, so they don't protrude further than my finger tips. Long nails can definitely be an issue and water almost never drips down my sleeve! Only when I'm throwing spouts and sometimes pulling handles and even then only rarely.

    Watching this is really amazing. After taking a half year course on pottery, this... I have a huge appreciation for this kinda work. I miss throwing on the wheel.... this is so soothing and just wonderful to watch.

    Its the first time a video relaxes me so much i fall asleep!! My insomnia is so bad i used to fall asleep at 11am and usuakly wake up at 2pm, most at 5pm. Now i fell asleep at 1am and woke up at 8am!!!! I know it might not be a big deal but this was so important to me :((♡♡♡ definitely suscribing!!

    I miss pottery and ceramics so much. I took a ceramics class my last year of high school and loved every second of it (my art teacher was so supportive too). It’s been two years since that class and I still miss it everyday. I hope to one day get the chance to do ceramics again, even as a side hobby. Thank you for reigniting that love in me. Your skill is amazing!

    So relaxing! Been researching and trying out and creating different forms of "body doubling" (for task focusing) person-to-person and less directly through TH-cam videos...
    Also am thinking one reason pottery looks so calming is it's a form of connecting with nature (hands in earth) and nature connection relaxes and grounds. Plus creative flow state and local art and feels good to use hands...

    5 minutes into the video i thought the pot is done. I was like leave it man you can only mess it up from here but he kept on improving it...showing his mastery. I came to relax but those finishing touches made me so anxious.
