As for the golden wreath, I think I'd go with real dry magnolia leaves, that naturally have a coppery color, and than lightly spray it all gold, and touch up with gold or rose-gold leaf. I think the result might look even better than the original one you just duped. A cool video guys. Very cool 🌲❄️❄️
This is an excellent idea!! The texture of the lovely suede underside of the magnolia leaves peaking out here and there feels like it would be such a vibe.
I think so many great creators get stuck feeling as though they can’t make big changes to their formula without alienating their audience. I’m glad that The Sorry Girls aren’t falling into that trap, and I think Rachel will make a really natural and energetic addition to the team!

re the pom-pom garland: if you used white hemp chord instead of leather, you could get that, and the white yarn from Dollar Tree, and complete that project for $2 (and still have both hemp chord and yarn left over). I've no idea how CB2 gets off charging >$20 for it, let alone nearly $50.
Its for people's time, and they use better materials...but a diy done carefully can look great too and be more satisfying because you made it yourself.

I really wish the trees would have been designed in two parts so that you could take them apart and they would lay flat for when you store them away and not glued together. Otherwise super cute.

I do love DIY projects which is why I love this channel! You can save lots of money by making these items yourself! I understand what they’re saying about some of these simple items being really expensive to purchase and relatively easy to make by basically cutting out the cost of labor. However we have gotten so used to the prices of goods coming from China and other places where people are under paid for labor-intensive projects. It’s important not to undervalue the time ($), patience, require power tools, one would have to purchase in addition to having the craft space and time. Not to mention that a lot of these big companies go on sites like Etsy and steal the ideas of crafty creatives to mass produce at low labor cost. So really don’t feel bad if you’ve purchased some thing you absolutely really love but feel like it would be too intense for you to make it. You’re probably supporting some young struggling artist and getting a very unique handmade item.

A tip for the ring base for the wreath: use an old lamp shade (you can get one at a thrift store). Just take the plastic/fabric shape, and you get the wire base which is usually very sturdy, and you get two sizes, one large from the bottom and a smaller one from the top. Loved everything from today!
