Sadly it’s sill slower than a scat, I forgot the video but a scat and v6 raced and the scat won. Still love my v6 tho

Please, more footage of driving the car would be appreciated. Also, I bet the results will be even better with the 8 speed auto. This is awesome. Having the Hemi performance out of the 3.6 Pentastar. The 3.6 is a robust engine and your supercharger is just a natural/complimentary addition!

I would love to see the supercharged 16 v6 vs it's bigger brothers and watch how it does
phillip agepogu compared to the 5.7 it would be about the same if not just a little quicker, but still wouldn't be competitive against the 6.4. Having said that, the V6 and 5.7 have better rods and pistons than the 6.4, so they can handle more boost. The other thing you'd have to consider is beefing up your braking system, the V6 and 5.7 weren't designed to stop on a dime like the SRT's are.

robfrmny21 the 5.7 has 410 foot pounds of torque it won't fuck up a 5.7 it'll be slightly faster

That vehicle comes out of the factory with an electronic speed governor, and we remove that limiter with our standard tune. The only limit is how far you are willing to push it. If you have any other questions, please email tech@RIPPmods.com, they will help you there.
Fist let me say that I am not advocating one way or another on supercharging your vehicle, I will just point out that for someone that is considering buying one of these, if you have not purchased your car yet, you may want to look around at what the higher trim levels cost. By the time you purchase this product at $6800 you may be able to afford a higher trim level. If you already own one, keep in mind that if you still have a B2B warranty, in all likelihood, you will void it with this install. Now, if you really want to do this install, and are mechanically savvy enough to do it yourself, it is fun and worth it (despite the price tag).

I hear a strange sound in the video during the 6:11-6:16 segment. Doesn't sound like a bypass, more like a surge. Is this some kind of malfunction in the test car or is it supposed to be like this?

@@RIPPMODS Also this pulsing or pumping sound during 4:07-4:14 segment. It appears when the pressure is released. I want to know whether this is a normal pressure release sound or not.

All these comments about its impossible to run sub 6's in a v6. I have a SXT Plus with a/s tires and 87 fuel and i've hit 5.8 in autostick after having it for a month. i thought that was slow but apparently pretty good. So basically summer tires and hire fuel and i'd also be clocking R/T times :') thats hilarious. The supercharger next year will make my car slay.

I do hear ticking noise, is it the engine tick or from the supercharger !!!
The camera tends to pick up the supercharger and it comes through as a click.
Should the BOV be open at idle? I'm having a difficult time adjusting my BOV spring correctly. Any instructions on this besides just, "2 turns after the screw hits the spring?"
Yes the BOV stays open at idle Adjust it so that 3 or 4 threads are showing above the lock nut.
@@RIPPMODS thanks guys! Another quick question, I'm getting intermittent oil pressure values now after driving the JGC with new RIPP kit. i.e - 75 psi at idle and goes down when reving the engine. Any ideas? I also have engine oil running through my air box and into the vortech V3.

If you’re getting a V6 because it’s cheaper than a V8 doesn’t it defeat the purpose when you supercharge a v6. Why not just get the v8 and get the specs already if you have money for a supercharger.
If you want the GT. Extra horses plus AWD when winter lasts 6 months lol.
Because a supercharged v6 is still cheaper than even a 5.7L when you consider insurance, the (extra) money saved on gas from the engine size difference alone + the increased efficiency from adding the supercharger. That, plus it would be a sleeper v6 instead of a 5.7L which imo is outdated among the muscle cars given that there are so many trims above it now. Yes, you can get the v8 sound with an R/T but if youre getting the 5.7 to be "fast" then youre going to be disappointed when a stock v6 is right on your tail

Your showing 440 Rear wheel HP on your Dyno....Is that a Dynojet or a. Mustang Dyno ? Because a Mustang Dyno will read about 12% less than a Dynojet on average.If its a Dynojet and it looks like you havE an automatic transmission so you add about 20% to get motor (crank HP).....which makes about 528 HP to motor....Is this correct because we are looking into purchasing........
It's a Dynodynamic, we do before and after runs on all these cars. We've proven a solid 18% drivetrain loss. 520 crank is the number we target.

I almost got an AWD Challenger (my dream car but V6) because i love how these Superchargers affect the sound etc... but thanks to the lovely car market it was cheaper to literally buy a new other car. Shame (well sort of)
What kind of gas mileage around town does RIPP supercharged AWD v6 challenger get if you keep your foot out of it?
I live in Michigan and my driveway is uphill so AWD is an absolute MUST but I want to get a sportier car that's more fun to drive in nice weather. A SRT or hellcat would be awesome but I MUST have AWD sho they are out of the question
There are independent reports of 2 to 4mpg gain. Some have gotten more some less. Our Jeep Wranglers boat as much as 8 when being kind to it.
hi there I'm Mike from California I am planning to get a Dodge Challenger very soon. if I don't get the V8 I'll definitely get a V6 Challenger. my question is for the V-6 Challenger supercharger will it work better with the five-speed transmission or 8 speed transmission. I want to get either a 2012 Challenger or 2016 or newer. Also would you prefer that I have the supercharger installed at your shop or can anybody install it. Thanks.
Bitemyshinny Metalass Works equally as good on either transmission. Drive both and see which you prefer. Our kits can be installed by any good speed shop or reputable mechanic.

During a live Instagram Video session this car did 5.4 0-60 - a high 4 is possible with traction and more effort. All we did was hit the gas on a 32 deg day on a slick cement salted public road. Under the right condition and with the proper support items like tires and the correct environment it will only get faster.

Mike Gee yes sir ,That's why I asked . I got the 2016 black top edition challenger . Only thing a I have on it it's an exhaust currently at 7k miles . Top speed that lets me hit 136 when I took it to vacation from Texas to Colorado

Hey this supercharger is 3 years old from the date of this video... I’m looking into going this route but I’ve seen some of your big sponsors experiencing issues with their build recently. Not saying it’s your product but is it possible an upgraded version could be in the works?
There are limitations, mathematically, to how car components work and how much power can be made. If you push beyond those limits without the proper steps taken beforehand you will cause problems on your own. An upgraded version is not needed and is not in the works.

Turbo charge, twin turbo, supercharger can somebody explain the difference and which they would get for a v6 challenger please?
Don Mac there are mainly two types of forced induction. A supercharger and a turbocharger. A supercharger is driven by a belt on the front of the engine and uses engine power to force air into the engine. A turbocharger uses exhaust gases to spin a turbine and pressurize air into the engine using a compressor wheel on the opposite side of the turbine wheel. Turbochargers are more efficient because they use otherwise wasted exhaust gases. A turbo can have some lag until full power is engaged but a supercharger if fairly instantaneous.

If you have a pedal commander/ similar device would I have to remove it after getting the supercharger?
Yes, the pedal commander interferes with the throttle amplification we already have built into the tune.

This vehicle has a stock exhaust. You can definitely hear it during WOT over most exhaust systems.
I have a K&N intake system and 40 edition loud flowmasters on my dodge challenge 2014 would I have to change any of that if I put your supercharger in my car?
The K/N would go the exhaust would stay.

This is perfect. I have a AWD challenger that is my daily driver so a supercharger that doesn't get in the way of everyday commute is exactly what I need. Do you guys have any recommended garages in upstate New York that could do the install? My regular mechanic refuses to touch any after market mods because of 'liability issues' or not being sure if the V6 could 'take it'. Whatever that means....

A shop that is reputable and well versed in forced induction should be able to get through this install with ease. We recommend finding a shop local to you that you are 100% confident in taking on the installation.

Do the oem pistons allow a 100 nitrous shoot ? I think that could be nice combination Supercharger and Nitrous.
That's not a question we can answer, nor do we want to find out. Not many engines can make 200 more WHP and then add an additional 100 shot of nitrous in stock form.

I just recently bought a 2017 dodge challenger sxt. I'm wanting to supercharge it, add a cold air intake, and upgrade the muffler system. What would be your advice on this? What would you recommend?
Hello, if you purchase the RIPP Supercharger you will not need the cold air kit. As for exhausts, it's really up the individual, some are loud and noisy, others are quiet. We have not tested any to endorse one over the other.

6 Grand for a 5.7 sec 0-60 is pretty hefty.
There are plenty of sub-4 second 0-60's happening with our kit.
