And highly recommend Acts, as you get the specific Content of evangelism, what exactly you are arguing for and proclaiming about Jesus and what God commands of the hearer in response. Hint, you will Not find modern day notions such as "Make a commitment for Jesus", "Pray this prayer", "Invite Jesus into your heart" nor the most popular declaration made to unrepentant rebels, "Jesus died for you" but proclamation of the person of Jesus, how His work is applied to everyone, anyone who repents and believes, they receive everlasting life and adiption

Romans is the best epistle by far as regards pointing a sinner to Christ for salvation. It deals with sins and sin in the nature.

I highly agree. God’s gospel tract is the first four chapters of Romans. Chapter 1:18 through 3:20 is the evil tidings of bad things. The heart of the Gospel is Romans 3:24-26, and the glad tidings of good things. Romans is the most important book of the Bible for evangelizing. A lot of people jump all over the Bible plucking verses when evangelizing and sharing the gospel (and often deliver an incomplete gospel), but everything that’s needed is in the first four chapters of Romans. Much more clarity, and takes away confusion. Two things are required: 1.) faith in his blood, and 2.) believing in Jesus the God-person. So many times I hear people supposedly sharing the gospel and they mention nothing about the blood. If either one of those two things is missing or misplaced, A person will split hell wide-open the second they take their last breath.

The Gospel of John is primarily about Jesus, His role in creation, His relationship and obedience to the Father, and our responsibility to obey His commandments with the help of the Holy Spirit. It is my favorite. In fact I love all of John's writings, his epistles and Revelation.

Missionary work equates to converting others to our own cults. The word cult, branched off the word occult. The word occult meant and means secret knowledge of the spirit realm. Everyone that believed in a creator wanted to believe they owned that secret spiritual knowledge, so they started to shorten the word to "cult" as a derogatory insult against those they put down as giving false spiritual information. Having been religious, and being told by those in other religions that my belief was "cult" ... I finally agreed that what I believed should be labeled as "cult" and so should their religious (spiritual) beliefs be labeled as "cult." Fair is fair. By the way, if the so-called knowledge is "secret," then it is still a secret. lol

@Chuck Norris All people that preach about gods and goddesses and sin and evil and holiness, and on and on and on ... must be certain that they have tuned in to "secret" knowledge. Otherwise, they couldn't preach.

@@junevandermark952 Preaching about secrets is contradictory. A secret isn’t a secret if it’s preached. The Gospel reveals the mystery of Jesus but does not make it a secret. Quite the opposite.
Having held some pretty horrible beliefs in my past, I can relate to wanting to scrap any and all belief, but that’s not the way to go. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a more relevant place to use the analogy “don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.”
If anyone comes to you with new, secret knowledge or revelation, you verify it by the Holy Bible. If it’s not confirmed in scripture, it’s not a secret, it’s b*llsh*t.

Christianity is just the new kid on the block compared to ancient religions. I also was raised in a Christian "culture" ... but I never bought the stories as being true. When I was told that I was in a cult, by those in other religions, I agree that all of us were and are in cults. Fair is fair ... don't you agree?
