      Btw to learn this it s insane practice..
      Hours and hours
      Tim began clasical guitar at 5 something like this
      He s 28 today
      He took Theory lessons
      and practiced so much which explains..
      Playing polyphia stuff asks to do this only
      Focus on this only
      dont play anything else
      I THINK i could learn it but it would take me weeks and weeks probbaly
      Until Someone make a tutoriel i guess and show how to play it slow etc
      But we all have to
      Learn it while looking at tim s video for now
      Btw doing
      Learning suff in 1h ..
      24 h or whatever u want to je the fastest to learn it
      is pointless

    I don't know who edits your videos, the clarkson at the end was worth a giggle, respect for that!
    And even more so because you did learn the initial riff in an hour (if true of course), which is still impressive by any standard.

    I felt really bad about myself when i was only able to get about 20 bars down semi clean at 110 bpm until i started watching other people, and found that others who have been playing just as long, if not longer than myself are having just as much trouble. For sure the hardest music i have ever tried to learn on any instrument, and i played classical violin for 14 years. rondo capriciosso and all the likes of that. learned things like moonlight sonata on piano. learned to drum, learned to march and drum, learned auxiliary percussion including 6 mallet marimba/ xylo/ vibraphone techniques.
    This shit is just different. Mathematical rock, metal, blues, jazz, pop, funk, trap, production level arrangement, the bpm, sequencing from being on time to going for the flamenco feel to going to a jazzy progression that swings a bit, back into really succinct melodies and riffs. Its just insanity. The way they arrange the shit too, they take that idea from metal music where you have both leads playing the same thing with some harmonic differences, and then you have the base playing the low notes, creating these crazy huge chords that end up sounding like a 16 string guitar. When they do their runs, tim always drops down or goes up an octave, which not only creates a really cool effect, but it gives space in the hz rates of the other two guitarists and the drummer. you end up always being able to hear whats going on.
    Polyphia is next level when it comes to expressive and virtuosic playing. They just pick their instruments up and do what they want. Playing god isnt even their most difficult composition either.

  • @harveytrevino2257
    @harveytrevino2257 2 ปีที่แล้ว +65

    Don't feel bad at all. It came out not that bad for one hour. I mean honestly, Tim was talking about this song 2 years ago. He's had time to get this to become natural for him.

    • @TheAbsolyte
      @TheAbsolyte 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      And you know what they say, if you can play the intro riff of a polyphia song you can play the whole song.

      The difference is that he is not practicing it from a written song he is actually making the song so is harder for him lmao

      @rosembermorales1995 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlexisPunch true that. Creating a piece takes forever. Learning another person song, especially with tabs, is easier. I mean as long as your not learning God tier music and you don't have the skillset for it of course.

    I'm not sure if putting a deadline is good for ones mental health when dealing with a Tim Henson masterpiece but I do appreciate a guy who will take a solid month out of his life and then show up at my bonfire and WOW every girl at the party so that none of the single guys get any action by "Playing God" flawlessly at 138 bpm as a full play through. Even more kudos to a brother that can make it look easy and be carrying on several conversations simultaneously. I think that is a full year of practice though ... LOL
