  • Did you know Brian has a son??? Well, son-in-law. I'm pretty sure, unlike Brian, he doesn't hate me. He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Hope you enjoy meeting our respected agronomist and another member of the family!

That is some fine looking Hay! Horse might break its neck turning it so quickly if it walked by and saw all that good Hay.

Hi, doesn't the Alfalfa get crushed to death when so much of machinery moves in the field, like mower, swather, tedder/racker, baler and in the end accumulator?

Kind of. After 4 years we rotate it out and plant it again. So it takes 4 years to where we notice the yields fall off and the outputs don’t pay for the inputs.

You are doing biz in a very large venue, so what has changed to impact the flow of product?

      A few things.
      1. Exporters have slowed their purchasing. By a lot, across the country.
      2. The west got a lot of rain and snow, so there is more product on the market than last years, on top of exporters not buying.
      3. The milk market is down, so dairies are not buy much hay.
      4. A lot of people got rid of their cattle last year when there was a shortage on feed.
