He never scoffed or laughed and was so eager to do everything to the fullest. They don't fully get into it on camera, but...Chris tucked. Like, fully and effectively. The work that entails, especially since he'd have to have *someone else doing it for him,* that's a commendable level of commitment to the journey.
Damn, I wish they hadn't needed to mosaic his chest because it blocked our ability to appreciate just how transformative that was. Brilliant idea to build up his shoulders with those frills and puffs to make his waist and hips appear smaller. He looked like an upturned, melting ice cream cone and I LOVE it. Tish did an amazing job giving him a full character and not just a "look".

I think this video is actually a really good demonstration that even people with the best intentions of allyship still slip into internalised homophobic narratives and frames of mind they may not even be consciously aware of. Very glad that Chris called it out. Ideally they wouldn't make those kinds of jokes, but being willing to admit that you still have work to do is huge in this day and age.
(Also, this comment isn't meant to "cancel" Tom or Gary. Tom and Gary are great guys and generally good allies, but they are cishet men who could stand to do better, and I'm glad this video shows them trying to do better, even if they put a foot wrong here and there!)

When Matt flew the helicopter and Chris learnt how to weld. I thought - That's so cool, I've wanted to do that for ages.
When Chris gets Dragged up while having a really meaningful and insightful conversation. I thought - That's so cool, I NEVER knew I WANTED to do that.
It felt like such an vulnerable, open way to attempt to understand someone else's lived experience.
Is there any chance of an extended cut of the interview/transformation? I understand that it doesn't work for this format but from Chris's comments and the post from Letitia Delish it feels like a lot of really interesting stuff had to get cut.

9:50 All right Tom, when you said 'blood donor card' I had to pause for breath because if that hadn't just been a random thing you said it would have worked TOO WELL as an EXTREMELY pointed joke.
You know, how gay men in several countries (including the UK if I'm not mistaken) have severe limits on how long they must have been celibate in order to even be considered as a blood donor? Or in some places, if you're a man who's EVER had [adult fun times] with a man, you're forever disqualified from donating blood? Yeah so that could have been a decent and pretty oof 'heterosexual card'

Honestly it is so refreshing to see 4 middle aged white cis men talking genuinely on this topic, being supportive of this industry and the people in it, as in the US at the very least it is very mixed and made to separate people instead of bring them together. The fact that the laughter is coming for a good place that is not insulting these people and instead supporting them and laughing at the stark contrast from this and how you live your lives amazing.
