I hope you all know what I mean, and it doesn't just come off as insulting Tom and Gary.
Well done Matt, that's excellent work! Impressive. I noticed Jo using a form of English that I call "Trainer Imperative Participle" - for example, "putting your clay in the middle" instead of "put your clay in the middle". My personal trainer used to use that as well, and it's all over TH-cam in countless live action fitness tutorials etc. As far as I know it's not "formal" English but there must be a reason why it has evolved... I've long wondered whether linguists have an official term for this. I know Tom's into that stuff, but he's unlikely to see this, so would any other linguists care to comment?
I really love to watch professionals do what they are professional on it is mesmerizing to watch, but I love to see people explore and try things and learn while doing especially when they succeed after a couple hard passes! Really wholesome, thanks Matt

one of those weird musician types x
I love your captioners lol
They put the note names when they were tapping the pots. I think Tom's was closer to a Bb, but at this point they're doing things that are beyond their job and there's no way I can't applaud that
Talk about contrast. The last one I saw was Matt hovering a helicopter and now he's making clay pots. The best part is he's great at both of them.
I love how supportive everyone was, just really excited about their friend who tried, and succeeded at pottery.
Been really enjoying this series
The reactions were not what we expected, but they were what Matt deserved.
shoutout to whoever does the captions on these videos, i love having color coordinated captions for different people, same as how its done in the video edit as well
Nearly perfectly tuning the 6th, 7th, and 8th partials of the pitch C3, made this video fully worth the 17 and a half minutes.
Gary at the end has the most intimidating way of saying "Wholesome" I've ever encountered.
This is probably my favourite of this series so far.
Panthers?
16:50 "We're not even gonna mock that" is the best proof of wholesomeness
So, Gary got to make a bacon buttie in a steam locomotive, and Tom got to drive a Zamboni.
And those have a... I'm probably using the wrong word, but I'm going use it regardless. Those have a surreal WOW-factor, with a healthy helping of silliness.
But Matt's has been the only truly impressive video of the three shown thus far.
I'm not saying the previous two were bad, of course. Far from it.
But this one you can get invested in. The others were silly hijinks.
I hope you all know what I mean, and it doesn't just come off as insulting Tom and Gary.
There was a lot less anger than I expected from the title. I like it.
I love how wholesome this series is becoming.
i always appreciate the effort that goes into the subtitling on tom scott videos but i am particularly fond of the tone identification at 16:46
Well done Matt, that's excellent work!
I loved this! All of them were fantastic so far, but Matt is just so wholesome. Makes the world a brighter place just by being in it!
What I really enjoy is that you're not taking the piss out of each other. Between reverse trivia, citation needed and TOTPAL we have so many instances of you guys taking the piss out of each other that it's kinda nice watching a group of friends doing stuff they've wanted to do and supporting each other. There's not a lot of content out there where men are being supportive of one another and I think we could do with a bit more of that
16:45 I love the subtitles for chimming
I remember making pots at summer camp, it was a complete disaster but of course my parents acted impressed at my talents, as parents should do.
I appreciate the subtitles identifying the notes the different pots chimed at!
1:10 Tis very true. See the allegory of the perfect pot to understand. Sometimes, and ofc in pottery, you just need to make a thousand of somethin before you can make somethin good; no matter how much studyin and prep work you do goin in
I love these guys because they feel just like the of best friends, bashing you and teasing you but are really supportive at the same time
As much as I love the guys giving each other shit about things I also really enjoyed this wholesome experience of everyone supporting and complimenting Matt's pottery
These are an absolute pleasure to watch. You take the mickey out of each other but also enthuse so genuinely about the experiences. Love it
Super wholesome content, it's definitely fun to see Matt beam with pride when everyone's handling his pots. Well done!
I love how the person that did the subtitles added the key that they are chiming in when they were tapping on the pots. Not sure if they are right but it’s cool.
very cool video. While I haven't done Pottery myself I've watched a few channels for a while so it was cool seeing Matt doing this.
I hope Jo gets a nice boost in costumers cause from the video she's a fantastic tutor and indeed an expert in pottery making.
