Great video, Erik. Thanks! More of this type old-New York brick interior buildings is what I'd like to see. There's something very appealing about the vintage half-moon windows shown in this apartment, too. Nostalgic. I love when builders have respect for the history of a structure.

This place sold the month this came out, the price dropped about $800k, to be expected now. The Indian or Asian-style doors&frame just jump out at 7:42 amid all that minimalism and white walls and expensive but plain commercial doors. Maybe they have a historical connection to the building. They are a breath of life in all that. But once you're in this place, one probably appreciates the minimalism, you put your things on the walls, have a few pieces here and there, it will look lived in. Person compared this to IKEA - I assure you, when you stand on those white oak floors and look down, you will know you're not in IKEA. I worked for some companies in the Financial District in a couple of old landmark buildings that have been redone, you have to be in it to appreciate it. The cedar, the white oak, the metals - you just can't get it across in a video.

The mix of textures and dark and light framing with the exposed brick bring fresh visual stimulation at every turn. It’s a tiny bit drab in my opinion and could have used a bit more sheen like the accent wall and frames around the window Lighting and art would be key in an elegant apartment like this.

I really have no idea how much my parents apartment in Gramercy Park would go for. Its been in the family sense the early 1900s.
It's on 4 floors with private elevator, a bit over 6000sf 5 bedroom 9 bathrooms, 5 balconies with keys to the park.
It's nothing like this though, it's a very old school NYC style in Art Deco. Full of the art my grandparents and parents collected over the last 120 years.
I pulled them from the city the beginning of covid, they won't be going back in this lifetime. It's just not that safe in the city at the moment. They are in there 80s now and much more active living on the ranch. In the city the only time they left the property was to go across the street to the park. I know they miss the doorman. He and his family are visiting for the week of Christmas this year.

A very nice space. A bit of a gut job but not total. The master suite would have to be completely re-organized. The most redeeming feature are the Narnia doors. If that atrocious painting was removed and replaced with a TV of equal size that would be incredible. The countertops have to all go including that raised and ridiculous curved breakfast bar. Red? I’m guessing someone was trying to make a statement in a completely beige room. Oh and that tiny in embedded TV in the bathroom. If you’re with jewelers glasses it would be great. I would think a simple radio would’ve been cheaper. One more thing. If you need Wi-Fi to open and close blinds what else in this unit goes down if the Wi-Fi is gone? I say again a very nice space just need a lot of work.

I noticed the countertop seam near the sink is terrible and the Ikea pantry doors hit each other and do not close all the way. Additionally the cabinetry has many visible dings. I assume this is an older renovation? Not designed very well regardless of the terrible finishes.

What's behind the adorned door? Is it a closet?
