I bought the original PS4 on launch day back in November 2013 and still play it to this day. Was originally going to buy the PS5 at launch but held off and then couldn't get one due to the delays, but after seeing my friends PS5s for a good couple of years I've decided I don't actually NEED one at the moment. The PS4 still looks amazing graphically and has so many games. Also - note to all PS4 owners who've had them a while and they now run hot make loads of fan noise, follow a guide on YT on how to service your PS4 and reapply the thermal paste, your PS4 will go back to working like its brand new again - I can vouch for that considering my launch model is still going strong today.
SO I bought a brand new Ps4 Slim my local wal-mart had 4, they have 2 left last I checked. Insane they had them it was the Call of Duty MW2 bundle. Great buy got it for $250. I'm happy. Also thing to point out is with 4k tv you still get HDR support on Slim.
I just picked up the PS4 slim with the quarry!!!! And had to get an adapter with the red white and yellow cords!!!!!!! And recently just got a vita for nightcry I can see myself playing the quarry as much as nightcry on vita.....both beautiful games and I had a PS4 but decided to get another one the slimmer one when I found out I was like oh good it's the slimmer one!!!!!! Growing up back then I am back to loving Sony!!!! And just got clock tower 3 for PS2!!!!!! Picked it up!!!!!!!! I'm very happy!!!!! I'm liking and loving the PS4 slim I got it at an exchange for 150.00$ I say def worth it!!!!!!
I bought the ps5 because 139 Ps4 games have the free 4k/60fps patch for the ps5.
In 2022 I bought a refurbished PS4 pro, I did have a ps4 in 2015 but sold it for some reason. I’m putting my Xbox series X away and going to be using my good Ol’ PS4 pro. Feel like I got scammed buying the Xbox series X.
it might not be better than a ps5 but a ps4 pro for $200 is a good deal as its still a powerful console and it supports loads of games. plus there arent enough games that put the real capabilities of the ps5 up to this date so for those like me who havent played the classics a 4pro is a good startin point

The live service game is supporting the ps4, I think it will still be support until at least 2026, but once the live service game is unsupported on this platform, I don't think it's still worth it anymore
I think even without online games it's still great for exclusives as ps5 too expensive for 10-15 games
If wait times are a big problem (which for PS4, they kind of care lol) then just get yourself an SSD... I got one of the newer Samsung 4TB SSD's and I couldn't be happier. It's lightening fast now... for example, Cyberpunk 2077 used to take like 5 minutes or so to load into the game, and now it only takes seconds. Highly recommended. :)

Bruh I'm from Europe and I'm a student so I can't afford a ps5 but i got a ps4 for about 200 eros with 3 controllers and alot of games. It was so worth it

Because I missed the entire PS4 library, I got myself a PS4 pro in November, 2023 with a 2tb hard drive, and I have never had more fun for over a year....PS5 is the console of remasters and remakes..meh!!

Im a collector, so keeping the pro was going to happen regardless if i used it. That said, i still use it all the time. For whatever reason i prefer playing games on their intended hardware, so i play all my ps4 and psvr games on the pro and save the ps5 for it's own library. I actually played the ps4 today for about 5 or 6 hours on Rise of the Tomb Raider
I love the controller when it lights up and vibrates when there's a rubble or when you are getting shot in the games. It really immerses you into the game. 😊
I will buy ps5 once i find a job and earn so much money. My ps4 is good but sometimes it crashed mid-game

It is, since PS5 hasn't seen any enviable exclusives since its launch and PS4 is significantly cheaper today. Furthermore, since you're new to this platform, you have a lot of Play Station exclusives to occupy yourself with like The last of us franchise (part 1 is out for PC though), uncharted franchise, God of war franchise (2018 one alone has a PC port), Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon franchise (the first part has a PC port), Bloodborne, Days gone, Shadow of the Colossus, and several others.
Look into PS Plus subscription tiers too (the extra tier grants you access to a library of decent games for a reasonable price).
All in all, it is definitely worth buying a used PS4,

I still have over 200 games installed in my PS4 that I haven't played yet. Most of these games take 40-80 hours to complete, that's why it'll take some time for me to finish them, and I will need to keep purchasing add-ons to the game for complete experience. So yes, it's still worth it especially when you're purchasing digital games, since most of them are on sale

@@cheemsoftheocean7569You can, set the PS4 to install its games on external drives. I have two external game drives that are 4 and 6tb. Maybe you haven't explored that yet in the settings?
I think those who don't have money for ps5 or ps5 slim should really buy ps4. The console is full of good games, so sometimes playing some gran turismo or similar game is really a good idea to have such a console. Here in Europe, there are plenty of people who still play PS3 consoles.
I've upgraded to ps5 from ps4 pro on Christmas and like 2 months before Christmas I had put a wd blue 1 tb ssd in my ps4 pro and it makes a difference I recommend every player do this and watch how it changes it. Side note since Christmas I haven't played my ps4 pro only cause ps5 is way more silent but I had my ps4 since 2018 so it put in its work to get loud sometimes hahaha

I still own my PS4 Pro console due to financial reasons same time this economy inflation will not leave no time soon until either they cut the price down or they will stop making ps4 games that’s when I start transitioning to the PlayStation 5 console.

I use my ps4 pro more than my ps5, i do not see the point in putting wear and tear on the ps5 to play ps4 games so i end up turning the ps4 on more than the ps5.

Think last gen should always be supported !! from here on out! because these new consoles will just now be small upgrades .. like faster speed and stuff, not many people care about. the ps5 price will drop when ps6 is here then they can drop ps4 and so on and so on, i think is a smart move

I think the ps4 for now is still fine . If your a student with not a lot money those ps5 games are expensive as hell . If you buy a ps5 but can’t afford the games it’s no use

Hey I just got a PS4 again the slim with the quarry game and the psvita!!!!!! I love my vita and am loving my PS4 slim......PS5 nah and let me say the quarry is so dang pretty to look at!!!!! On my old tv!!! I ain't gunna lie the PS4 is still great I'm actually happy to have it back!!!!!! I'm enjoying the quarry for the first time!!!! Beautiful game and the vita has beautiful ports as well nightcry on vita and the quarry I can see my self playing over and over again!!!!!! And it's affordable I see people buying PS2 still and just picked up clock tower 3 again for PS2 and that game is still beautiful to look at to this day!!!!!! I'm very happy I decided to pick up the PS4 slim!!!!!!! Who cares about systems now adays when you can get the same graphical experience!!!!! I deserve the PS4 slim for all the hard work I do in my life so I'm gunna enjoy it so much!!!!! Really thankful for having it again but the slimmer one!!!!!! I recommend it!!!!! And a psvita!!!!! Both great systems I was gunna be done with home consoles but I gave the PS4 slim a chance.......no regrets!!!!!!! ☺️

Hey great video i think tight now a ps4 pro xan do everything a ps5 can do besides the specs but for 200 bucks and capable on 4k is amazing with great exclusived. Also ps4 game discs are dirt cheap as well p

Honestly if the reason you want PlayStation is for the exclusives it not worth it. Get the Xbox series s since it will be supported farther into the future than ps4. Plus GTA 6

The only thing you miss out on isnt just raytracing and faster ssd .
You miss out in 60 fps, the moat important part.
It amazes me many people have such a slow brain theu cant tell 30 fps from 60 fps,.its like their brain is in sync with the 30 fps.
