Once again what an absolute legend mate. Now if you could just use your photographic memory to tell us all the questions word for word I’ll be on my way 😂
What I don't understand is how is it fair that different people sit one of these three tests? Surely they have to be of the same difficulty and equal chance to be able to get the same score. But I find that prospect pretty impossible. Given different people's experience skills and knowledge there will be one test easier than the other for an individual.
Guy Botera exactly !! This is so unfair when univeristies use ucat scores to shortlist students for interview. How can they compare us on a test that is different for every single person. !
I really don't think your cut offs will be much higher than ours. In my experience, everyone who scores 3000+ will go on forums and post but this is not going to be representative of most! Most people won't publicise their scores
For DM some people getting easy questions and some getting really hard ones. But do you think they have a way to scale the score based on the difficulty or not. Cause it might be sort of unfair for someone who got the hard questions.
i'm pretty sure the scoring for raw scores takes into account the weighting for each question... so the scores should be fair... not totally confirmed..
I think it would be to make comparing scores easier, they can't just give us much harder exams, make us get worser scores and compare us to them in uni applications
Hiya, I have a questions I’m struggling with if you could please help me. I have been struggling with probabilistic reasoning for a while. This is the questions Jerry sells dishes of ice cream. Any fish has up to 3 different flavours. He decides to include an additional flavour. Is 8 the number of extra different dishes of ice cream that Jerry can sell with up to 3 flavours? A: yes, because there are 15 additional dishes from 4+6+4+1 B: yes, because there are 8 additional dishes from 14-16 C: no, it will be 4 additional dishes as there are a total of 4 flavours D: no, it will be 7 additional dishes from 3+3+1 Please help 🙏🏼
The answer would be D: Each dish has up to 3 different flavours - that means it could have 1, 2 or 3 different flavours in it. if Jerry adds an additional flavour then he has four flavours in total. The combinations of flavours BEFORE Jerry adds a fourth flavour are: 1 or 2 or 3 (dishes with only one flavour) 1+2 or 1+3 or 2+3 (dishes with two flavours) 1+2+3 (dishes with three flavours) The new combination possibilities AFTER Jerry adds a fourth flavour are: 4 (new dishes including the fourth flavour with one flavour total) 1+4 or 2+4 or 3+4 (new dishes including the fourth flavour with two flavours total) 1+2+4 or 1+3+4 or 2+3+4 (new dishes including the fourth flavour with three flavours total) The total number of new combinations is 7, therefore the answer is D. Hopefully that makes some sense!
But if the QR section is equal to or easier than medify mock 7, how do people fail or do poorly? It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe you got lucky and got all easy questions? It can't possibly be generally that easy?
the average for qr was higher this year than last year, sometimes for some people its just not their day, or they just generally aren't very good in qr so those people generally do bad. maybe some people just saw a few tough questions and it just put them off and they just couldn't go with the momentum anymore, ik that happens to me but when that happens to me i just skip that entire set of 4 question and comeback with a fresh look
I have mine in a week and it's not looking to good. Use a website called passmedicine. It was all sections each section has 10 sets of large amount of questions and also has 3 mock papers and theyre all timed.
@@abdulkhaled1745 i was thinking of doing that and alot of my freinds have theirs in sept, but im happy i can enjoy my summer and try other avenues i also have shit a level grades. :(
I only got 2760 points (average 690) and band 3, I feel like this is really really crappy. I really want to apply the top unis like Bart's Queen Mary, but now im not sure if I would get an offer from them anymore... Is there any advice anyone could give me with regards to this?
i got same as you, but 680 average. You can apply to Queen Mary with that score - they want higher than 3rd decile (thats their cut off). Im not sure about SJT though. I wanted to apply to Kings but they said they generally dont invite people to interviews if they have band 3 - so im gutted about that
@@VonexCS my sister studies medicine at queen mary and she said she has seen A LOT of people that transfers from kings to theirs because of how stressful the environment is there at kings, so kings might not really be as great as most people think, if that makes it better for you. Either way, good luck with everything ahead! :)
@@crashingintoearthwithmalic2088 I understand - but i'd assume any med school will be stressful and competitive. It relies on whether you're ready or not. I went to the kings open day and loved it personally, however band 3 doesnt do me much justice :P
Isaac Yip I’ve got even worse. 2430 only with nearly 16 mocks and 7k+ qs practised on medify !! Anyway, if you’ve strong gcses , look for the univeristies that put less weightage on ukcat and more on gcses as you’ll have a much higher chance getting there for example cardiff, Liverpool, etc. Btw your ukcat score is definitely way above the average !

Whilst the entire video is discussing the exam, you can find specific feedback from 16:00 onwards
weird question but what time in the day did you take the UCAT
I had no idea about this 3 different exam thing. This guy knows too much. Lol
17:15 that’s so true don’t be alarmed cos they often put hard questions at the start

all about AR video plz!!!

Jerry sells dishes of ice cream. Any fish has up to 3 different flavours. He decides to include an additional flavour.
Is 8 the number of extra different dishes of ice cream that Jerry can sell with up to 3 flavours?
A: yes, because there are 15 additional dishes from 4+6+4+1
B: yes, because there are 8 additional dishes from 14-16
C: no, it will be 4 additional dishes as there are a total of 4 flavours
D: no, it will be 7 additional dishes from 3+3+1
Please help 🙏🏼
The answer would be D:
Each dish has up to 3 different flavours - that means it could have 1, 2 or 3 different flavours in it. if Jerry adds an additional flavour then he has four flavours in total.
The combinations of flavours BEFORE Jerry adds a fourth flavour are:
1 or 2 or 3 (dishes with only one flavour)
1+2 or 1+3 or 2+3 (dishes with two flavours)
1+2+3 (dishes with three flavours)
The new combination possibilities AFTER Jerry adds a fourth flavour are:
4 (new dishes including the fourth flavour with one flavour total)
1+4 or 2+4 or 3+4 (new dishes including the fourth flavour with two flavours total)
1+2+4 or 1+3+4 or 2+3+4 (new dishes including the fourth flavour with three flavours total)
The total number of new combinations is 7, therefore the answer is D. Hopefully that makes some sense!
