Shelter's Executive Director's Vision Becomes a Reality Providing Safety for Human Trafficking Youth

#humantraffickingawareness starts with all of us. Survivors of human trafficking need physical safety, mental safety, and spiritual safety. That's why Shelter is excited for the construction on their new 12-bedroom home for female survivors of human trafficking, the first DCFS-licensed facility of its kind in Illinois made possible through a partnership with DCFS and HODC. This new home adds to a variety of programs offered to support runaway youth and youth experiencing homelessness.
