Watch this video to learn how to set up realistic day time lighting for your exterior scenes.
Yordan from the Chaos 3D team shows you two ways you can do that - by using the V-Ray Sun and Sky system, or HDRIs. He explains how you can tweak the different parameters to achieve the desired look, as well as gives useful tips and tricks for adding extra realism and streamlining your workflow.
Don’t forget to download the scene and try the techniques yourself to take your visualizations to the next level.

Would be nice to also hear about exposure value of the camera and frame buffer parameters like filmic tonemap that need to be set to get similar results
Can we get some more advanced tutorials on this matter? Like using filmic tonemap, exposure or LUTs to achieve photoreal look.
Thank you
Please add realistic night sky too, stars, moon, milky way and etc. Also other kind of sky like stormy.
Exactly!
More tutorials for sketchup and v-ray please!!!!!
thanks.
Hello! You changed the multiplier value of the dome light when setting the HDRI, while I bright it up in the texture setting in the “processing” section. Is it bad for the computation of the image or it’s just another way to reach the same thing?
Good ❤
Hi, tehre. Could you please make a detailed tutorial on Forest Pack. Thank you.
Please would you tell us which version of 3dmax and vray that you are using , Thanks , and if you have any link to download it , Thanks
i came up with a completely different workflow using a hdri duplicated two times and auto exposure ON.
great
In the rendering I tried, the sky is not such a clear and beautiful shade of blue. It's a very bad sky, almost gray and blurred. And when i change 3D scene from IRP to normal rendering, it does not render. A black screen appears. Isearched but couldn't find the solution. :(
There should be stars on the sky
