- Trial of the Sword speedruns are really cool because they're focused on efficient combat instead of glitches. I've been doing the restricted version of the category which means that I have to complete every floor like normal meaning I'm not allowed to clip out of bounds to go fight the Hinox. I learned the whole run from watching tt815tt who is the current WR holder so huge shout outs to him. I know I can get a 34, but I'm probably not going to push super hard for it so we'll see what happens. It's a nice and short category that can be a backup for when other runs don't go well.

what ive learned from this video:
-sneakstrikes are insanely powerful
-stasis+ is worth the ancient cores
-the floors that you thought were the hardest are actually pathetically easy
watching this gave me a lot of tips for my non speedrun go at master trial of the sword, so thank you, you absolute madlad

Man you have no idea how much this video helped me. With TotK around the corner I decided it was finally time to do my Master Mode run and eventually do my Trial of the Sword. I was looking for strategies and yours were by far the best, even from a non-speedrun perspective and I was able to do all 3 trials in under 30 minutes each food buff-wise. Thank you so much

Thanks for posting these, helped a lot with my casual Trial playthrough. Most of the guides aren't for master mode, and I had no idea you could use the lynel in the last room to freeze and blow up all the bokoblins (though I didn't do it quite right and had to spam bomb arrows at them, lol)

Hey man, I just got a Switch recently and this run helped me beat the trials. Not speedrunning mind you, but still some of your techniques are great for normal runs (especially using that blizzard rod on the last floor of final trials). Just wanted to say thanks for the vid!

Middle and final trials arnt too hard if you learn you to parry gaurdians and take the time to loot everything(use magnesis and stasis to find hidden chests in places like lava lakes). And for beginner trials theirs only one hard room(the one with the 2 strong lizalos and one archer), shoot the archer and sneak strike the other two. Also make use of damage up food.
Great runs you have. I'm 62 and have played all the Zelda games to the end. Heading out in a few days to preorder Tears of the Kingdom. What are you going to do when the new Zelda comes out.
When TotK comes out I plan on doing a casual playthrough on stream and then start speedrunning it right after. I'll probably drop BotW stuff for a while with plans to probably come back to it once the hype dies out some.
I quite enjoyed watching that :-) I'm still in a newby phase, in which i collect every weapon and food! Picked up a few ideas, things should run smoother for me next run. Sneakstriking after an (elemental) arrow, very cunning and very effective. Merci

just a question how do you get 29 hearts and full stamina at the same time. I thought with full stamina you could only get 28 hearts max with dlc

30:50 I just did the normal master trials yesterday for the first time. They weren't out yet when I was done with the game initially, and by then I was out of the combat too much, especially for master mode. So it was slow, but super fun.
For the fun of it, I set a fire in front of the Ice Talos, and... when he got up it immediately defrosted him right when he fell onto it after an arrow to his ore and i could jump on and insta-nab him.
Is this something to consider or would that take longer? :D

Either it's not legit to Shield clip and go beat the giant of the first level or it's faster to do everything rather than use bugs

I've learned you have to be patient to beat the Trial of the Sword. I say that as someone who hasn't even beat the regular version of it, but if my words can reach someone out there who has doubts, don't! You can do it, be patient, use bombs, and rehearse (by watching videos like this). By the way, the Master Sword actually goes up to 60 attack (temporarily) when you come in contact with Enemies under Ganon's influence. I discovered this by accident.
It took me 2 hours to get to the last room then i died cause i couldnt slay the Lionel

I only got to the hinox at end of beginner in master mode and ran out of arrows and weapons so I couldn't defeat him. Then I gave up 😅. I finished it all in normal mode so eh
The higher level bokoblins look so weird with tiny horns now that Totk ones are out

How did you got such long duration of attack up?
If you cook with dragon parts it gives you a really long timer with dragon horns giving guaranteed 30 minutes.

Awesome run! I was wondering howd you get 29 hearts AND full stamina? Ive completed all 120 Shrines + DLC and only have 28 hearts with full stamina :D

You’re a WR holding speedrunner, I’ve reached out to a few in the community and recommended this challenge. With your skill I imagine you can put in one hell of an attempt: true gamers never touch grass. Can you beat Breath Of The Wild without touching grass?

You are aware of challenge running if you’re interested in speedrunning, right? It’s how a good amount of speedrun strategies are found through creative exploration of the game mechanics.

How tf did you pull this off i literaly spent Hours to do 4 Rooms and died like 10 times (dont say skill issue in comments i bet you wil die to in Master mode)
I completed it in mastermode but dont feel pressure i was very bad when i started the game
