This place is very clean for a motel. The rate is great and the staff is very friendly. They are also pet friendly for an additional fee. The best part of this place is that it is for adults (No children). The most quiet stay I have ever had! I also like that it is next to two very nice convent stores (One with a DQ) and there was a small family diner right next door that you literally just take a few steps to get to. Unfortunately I heard it may have shutdown since. I liked the place so much I made sure to stay there again on my way back during my trip to PA from GA.
@RaymondAdams-u4n Well, we agree with what you said, for the most part. We actually stayed there back in September of this year, so if it has shut down, then it has only been in the last 2 months or so. Also, when we stayed there, there were children. There was actually a family just a couple of doors down from us. But yes, it is very clean and very conveniently located.
It looks like a nice basic room. I remember that episode of the Andy Griffith Show. Mayberry Days sounds really fun. My favorite episodes are the one with Earnest T. Bast in them. I loved it everytime that Barney said, "He's a Nut!". That always cracked me up every time that Barney said that.
Yes, that was always fun to watch. It's odd, but we did not see any Ernest T. Bass look-alikes in town. I am a big fan of the black and white episodes. The colored ones, not so much. It seemed like it changed and went downhill after Barney left.
I agree with you about the non smoking room. We stayed in a motel room one time that was supposed to be a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke and there were cigarette burns in it as well.
Yes, I really don't understand the point of advertising it as a non-smoking room, knowing that the guest specifically wants it to not smell like smoke. It was not overpowering, but you could still smell it when you walked in the door.
Got to love the Andy Griffith Show!
Absolutely!
Hope you enjoyed the trip. Safe travels.
Thank you!

Sounds like y’all got lucky on getting that room.
Yes, we certainly did. Especially for the second night, when they were already booked to capacity.
