My first year of high school this show motivated me and helped mold me into who I am today! I was a freshman and the snareline consisted of three seniors and I. We used their floor in 2016, flipped it over and painted on it. It was rewarding feeling as if we were paying homage to the ‘man in the arena’ every time we folded the floor. Being so young, watching this show pushed me to put out maximum effort and fully focus every run. That year Escambia placed 5th in Open Class Finals with a 93.988 and a top 3 finish in hands! Cleanliness is forever!
I remember when you guys were practicing that insane bass split between first and second bass at the Bluecoats auditions this year and thought dang that is amazing. I never thought that would be in a show. Great job guys you all deserved the win this year.
that one guy that was center snare...in one of the performances got hit in face in the fight scene for real...and he was so bloody and it got on the tarp so they kept it for effect.
man, i got emotional listening to the people who aged out. I just finished my senior year of my high school drumline. We medaled for the first time ever in TIA. I hope to god I'll be able to be a part of another line while i'm in college.
The drum set guy is a magician! Watch him just groovin' along at 6:25, then effortlessly remove his shirt in an instant at 6:31, followed by a mystical reappearance at 6:39, just in time for his big fill! What a legend. :)
Everytime I watch Bluecoats or RX, Tom always looks like he could kick someone's ass, but then, seeing him in this video, he's like the coolest dude ever.
+TheSweatynipples i know this is all late and you probably got an answer already but i will answer anyways lol. the reason it looks like they have shirts one second and then none later is because since they were only rehearsing, those were takes from several different run-throughs put together in post-edit. in cases where they maybe wanted to change out a part where a screw up was caught on camera or they only had one camera to record so several takes were taken to get the many different angles. one of the two but i hope i made things clear enough lol
Every great thing about WGI and this activity is in this video.
It’s been 10yrs and I still get the goose bumps
Two years later, this is still inspiring
Kevin Huynh 7 years later and it’s still inspiring
Bob Daniels 7 years and 6 months later and this is still inspiring
I was 6 when this happened, now I’m 16 lol
Over 10 years later it’s still inspiring
Came back to this 9 years from my comment, still a banger
Gaspirini's little speech towards the end "I'm agin out I'm done I'm just done" had me weak
I wasn't in the mood to practice today. Then I watched this. My hands are burning.
I can't help but cry when I see this. I love you guys. Best age-out ever.

This is now my favourite video I have ever watched on this website. Tear-jerking presentation.
So inspiring. I hope to join this group some day.
0:42 Looks for dirt
0:48 Leaves empty handed
This was the best part of high school, being able to rehearse with these guys and see them every week for five months. Awesome group of people! :)
Almost forgot to watch this today.
I've watched this a million times. It's perfect.

Loved this. Nice work X...in, and out of the arena.
I love watching up close WGI videos. You can see every microexpression on the performers faces

indoor drumline combines my two favorite things: drumming and DANCING!!! Yipee.....
Bluecoats. Bluecoats everywhere!

Best thing you ever can see love this
didn't know there is an age limit in WGI....these kids ( kids?) are much too talented to just be "done"....
3:13 is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life
6:31-37 the front left marimba is the best part 😂😂😂😂
I loved watching this in Dayton! You guys are amazing
That man was a beast, i remember when i was with my line and everyone was freaking out once they saw it was real xD
God. Being in WGI finals watching this show was absolutely indescribable.
Watching this made it 20 degrees colder in class
The center marimba totally looks like Arin from Game Grumps
the fighter plus loose equals one hell of a song.
5:54 so THATS what it sounds like with the shot XD
This video is truly inspirational.

Dude wow. we're 100% friends right now
This is an amazing video! RX wasn't too shabby either. 98.2
Awesome show guys! Muse would be proud!
He hurt his left wrist really bad. He tried to tough it out but he couldn't. This was his ageout season at Bluecoats too, it sucked really bad.
Such a beast show the shirts from the guys in the pit melted off by the time the closer came in.
Such a powerful show
Yep. He just graduated from my high school actually. :)
marimbas at 6:30 get me so hyped!!
There shirts suddenly disappeared...
just part of the magic
Two of the snares marched center snare for Bluecoats. Nooooo wonder
6:14 I really want to meet that guy
For real man? My apologies for being one of the few battery people that even acknowledges front ensembles.
Wow... This show is definitely one of the best. What was that song used after the show?
7:13 Bass 3 broke his mallet at the end
At 6:30 the two dudes' shirts are on, but then three seconds later they are suddenly off. How?...

WHATS WITH THE DISAPPEARING AND REAPPEARING SHIRTS
I felt like i was on a spaceship.
Tom your my idol!!!
6:10 favorite lick ever
He broke his foot during finals week. So I guess they didn't have him rehearse so he could bare the pain for the prelims and finals runs.

2:54 nice camera work there!!
