@chrislugo5838 Take them to a live DCI and have them seated on the 50 to get there face blown off. Also a rehearsal would work too. But most people that are into music music would enjoy it.
I love RCC, always have. The most amazing thing about them is that their shows never look "Dated". Other shows, many of the winners even sometimes look kind of silly (Even with the incredible playing). I am not normally one who believes shows from 10 or 20 years ago hold up today, but RCC is the exception. I believe this would compete for a top spot today. Absolutely.
15 years later and it's still one of my favorite shows I've ever seen. The musical cohesiveness of the pit and tenors at 6:18 is really what sets this show apart from others.
Every tenor line that year was outstanding! I swear the arrangers got together before the season started and decided 2009 was the year to show off the tenors.
4 years after your comment, confirming that it's true. lol! Must have been a bummer for the snares though. Nobody ever heard the first two measures of their feature because they were still going crazy for those quad beats.
Even in 2024, one of the best quadlines I've ever seen
Agreed
@@LJHiggins Yep
The energy of this show was insane. Probably one of the easier ones to show non-drumline people to get them into it too.
yeah lol
I always have trouble getting people to like wgi and dci. They seem to have no interest in it

This one, X 12, MCM 17, X 18, RCC 23

Man you wildin!!! Mantra? Touch? Worth the Wait? You don't think any of those hold up? Tie your shoe laces fam, because you trippin'. 😆
@@brothaNblue Definitely not Worth the Wait. Touch and Mantra though heck ya
@@brothaNbluetouch does mostly but those uniforms are atrocious

Closer quad feature never gets old.
Too bad the center’s 4 drum was broken lol

Samuel Hendry I love the opener lick. This line up there with MCM 2011.
ghyprh let's be real, every year should be the year to show off quads. It's the best!

It's still hard for me to believe this didn't win. Rhythm X was just that amazing, but this show was my favorite that year.
3 words. Boring Pit Book.
@@brothaNblueWrong
X that year had arguably the best show of all time
One of the best shows ever! Way ahead of its time.
6:02-6:14 at 2.0x speed made me laugh harder than I should’ve.
I never noticed someone accidentally hit their quad at 6:55 until today.
6:20 RIP drum 3
he did an amazing job because I literally did not notice this at all!
I was at this very performance, only a few rows up from the performance, and didn't notice!
One of the coolest quad splits ever
10 years later and I just learned how to play the closer quad lick
Jacob better late than never
Peep the opener lick from Flight, I think that was 2011. It was, uhh... it was good. Real good. Probably my favorite lick I’ve ever learned
The fact that you were able to learn it is a feat within itself.
Aboslutely some of the best front writing I've ever heard
lit
2:59 his name?
Matt Regua, super cool dude lol
Does any know the source music for this show?
From the show theme I would guess Jesus
That intensity
Sick.
Does anyone know what bass drum heads were used?
ART> :D
Their front ensemble is always underwhelming
Nah 2013 was pretty beasty. Also 2017 and 2018 were good too.
You're not only wrong, but stupid too
