If none of this works just delete steam all together. You may have deleted files for example if you do modding for Skyrim, fallout 4 some files you have to delete for the modding to work on certain games. So you will have to delete steam again and download the game you want to play and it should work.

Use a software utility like Guru, then head over to your GPU manufactures website and reinstall the latest driver. If that still doesn’t work then download an earlier driver.

I had this issue last night after the COD WW2 update. For some fucked up reason the game will start if you simply open up the Task Manager and leave its window just open. It worked and I was able to repeath both the error and workaround this morning.

If none of this works just delete steam all together. You may have deleted files for example if you do modding for Skyrim, fallout 4 some files you have to delete for the modding to work on certain games.
