Hi, friends, today I'm going to discus a wonderful poem, ‘The Strange Affair’, by Robin S. Ngangom. Ngangom may not be one of the highly acclaimed poets of India, but the skills and the way he expresses the issues and needs of the Northeast India makes this poem worth reading and admiring. The day I read this poem I fell in love with the poet. So, I thought of sharing my thoughts on this poem with you because critical views on this poem is not much available. A highly revealing political poem, ‘The Strange Affair’, gradually traces the entire bloody history of Manipur, and how it affects people's small hopes of love, little dreams and daily affair of life.
