  • We are upgrading not only the foot pegs on the 2015 V strom 650 XT, but also adding a peg lowering and shift relocation kit. With the kit the pegs will drop down 1 inch as well as move the shift lever pivot forward allowing more clearance for an adventure style motorcycle boot. In addition we are installing a set of IMS Super Stock foot pegs to improve standing stability as well as traction if the pegs get muddy off road. These are all in preparation for my first adventure touring trip to the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan my home state. I lived in the area for almost 6 years and have not visited in nearly a decade. Stay tuned for the preparations for that trip and future modifications to the V strom to be adventure ready!
Adventure touring is on the up and I want a piece of it. A life long camper and adventurer this was an obvious choice in motorcycles for me. The vstrom has a great track record and long history of production. Known for its reliability and versatility the vstrom will make an excellent pavement and gravel road tourer. This bike has already been to the Dalton highway and across the country with the two previous owners, and I hope I can add a few adventures of my own to its history.
The Honda Magna was the first muscle bike that started a craze that has lasted for 40 years. Sporting a 90 degree V4 engine, Hydraulic Clutch, and shaft drive the Honda Magna was a direct attack on Harley Davidson. A cult following to this day the Honda Magna is a true classic that deserves more attention from the motorcycle world.

Getting closer to camping season lol. My kid free weekends have been trash weather wise lately or I would have been out already

I want to get everything done on the bikes before the better weather gets here, despite these few nice days. But then game on hopefully.

So I’m curious as to whether or not, you have found or experimented with any radiator guards to keep stones from damaging the radiator? I was also wondering in addition to the engine bars have you looked into any bar sets that cover lower on the bike the last question I had was what kind of tires are you running? If you’re planning to do both street and some mild offloading? Thanks a bunch!

I have not looked at radiator guards yet, but it has crossed my mind. Though looking at my radiator it has almost zero damage and with a previous owner went to Prudhoe Bay, AK. So not as worried about it, the front fender seems to have fairly good coverage as well. I have a Givi sump guard/skid plate, and with the upper crash bars I think the engine is well protected for the type of off pavement riding I am planning on doing. Tires are Dunlop Trailsmart tires currently but I am exploring options once these wear out. I ride a lot of pavement and don't do any gnarly off road so some 80/20 type tire will probably be plenty for me. If you have any recommendations please let me know! Thanks for watching!
