Thanks for watching! If you are in medical school here is a video about being a Christian while in medical school

Thank you for this it’s uplifting. I’m in my preclinical years and sometimes I really feel down with all the exam stress and failing exams but after listening to this I just have to trust in God and not fall back on faith ❤❤

I'm a Muslim medical student, and I really appreciate this video. Every single day I feel inadequate as I'm reminded of how much I don't know. Something which gives me a lot of comfort is the saying " *inna lillahi wa inna alayhi rajiun* - indeed we belong to God and to Him is our return." Especially on difficult rotations like ICU, when patients die and you start questioning your steps, it's a comforting reminder that at the end of the day, everything is God's will. We are all just pieces in the giant puzzle of the universe. And that puzzle was created by God - the Creator and ultimate governing force of all existence.
One thing I can't stand about medicine, especially academic medicine, are all of the ego-starved physicians who are constantly trying to impress eachother. If more physicians truly believed in the superiority of God, we wouldn't have so many insufferable personalities. " *Do not walk proudly on the earth. You can neither tear the earth apart nor can you rival the mountains in height* " - Qu'ran 17:37

It really encouraged me to see someone talking about their faith in the medical field. I’m starting my senior year in university and there is definitely a lot of pressure to be a competitive applicant for med school. Thanks for the reminder to let go of some things and trust God. It helps with the anxiety!

Thank you for watching. I’m glad it was helpful! I remember that pressure well. Trusting in Him is the best solution I have learned over the year. Best of luck on your journey.

i’m currently 16 and in high school. i’ve wanted to be a cardio thoracic surgeon since the age of 2, for the past week i’ve been stressing and doing immense research on med schools in the caribbean and the road to becoming a surgeon. As a spiritual/religious person this was exactly what i needed. You’re an amazing inspiration man, keep it up and good luck! God bless you

Thank you for all the great tips, Dr. Nick. I need your advice: are there any benefits to becoming a member of the ANA while I am still a medical student?

Hi! I think joining any neuro society is great at showing your interest in the field.
