I also try to relocate some of the more dangerous tripping hazard stumps and stones on the trails... But there are a few large shark fin type stones (ones that are make for perfect face plants) that are just appendages of much larger stones, otherwise I would just prybar them out of the trail and toss them to the side... Most are basalt but there are a few granite ones too... I've seen videos where these chisels cut granite really well, I was wondering how well they work on basalt?
Never belittle or underestimate the mighty stone. It's a shame that stone isn't used as much as it should be. It makes a superior building material, and is eco-friendly at the same time.

i have a gray stone in brick lengths of 20" long 1" to 1 1/2 " thick how can I get clean cut without using saw??
You won't unfortunately, you'll pretty much need a saw. It won't cut with a chisel where you want it to. I'm a stonemason.

Can you use the Pneumatic Tool to do the same job?
A pneumatic tool with either a flat chisel or point could be used but the hand chisel and hammer will do the job much faster.
