Very nice tutorial..! Can you a make a tutorial about how to reduce harshness in the vocals & make it sound pro level in fl studio.
Is it totally dependent on the mic & pre-amp to start with ? Plz include this info also. Thanks.
Yes it depends on mic and pre amp and mostly on the room acoustics.
And if you eant to reduce harshness then do subtractive equalization and compression.
A simple vocal mixing chain should look like this :
(Denoise vocal in edison and use desser if needed)
1. Subtractive eq (cutting out extremes lows and highs)
2.Subtractive eq (cutting out resonating frequency)
3.Additive eq (if needed)
4.Wave shaper or any saturation plugin to add more harmonics.
5.Create a different bus for reverb and delay.
This is enough for vocal mixing.
There are so many fancy trick that you can add on vocals (like panning, flanger, phaser, etc)
