@@ProductionDen i think a compression thing, but i mean clashing in the sense that when an 808 plays at the same time as my vocal it overtakes the vocals and makes it sound weird

I am wondering how the final result of compression can be saved as a new sample? Do I need to use Edison to record the compressed file and drag and drop into one of those pattern list? Thanks.
It sounds like you have the limiter disabled. Check to make sure that the dot to the right of the limiter in the mixer channel is GREEN. Otherwise you will just see the waves. You can left click on it to turn it off or on.

It might be an EQ thing, or it could be a compression thing.
