Hyundai Elite i20 Vs VW Polo (Comparison Story)
Style. Galore. These are two words for our competitors this week. The Hyundai Elite i20 and the VW Polo. VW actually means people mover which is not really what it is in India at least. In fact, the real people mover in this country after Maruti is Hyundai.
Exteriors :
If you compare the cars neck to neck on the exterior it is a tough call. While some might like the top design of the Elite, the others might like the simple and classy looking VW Polo.
Interiors :
Now you step inside and again the battle continues. Both cars are so different and yet offer such a nice cabin. The Elite i20 will impress you with the layout, the features, the buttons and the gadgetry. Then the Polo on the other hand will dazzle you with its minimalistic yet practical approach. The cabin of the Polo comes in beige and black with silver accents. The cabin of the Elite is black and beige as well and comes with very soothing blue illumination. Both cars have Bluetooth, steering mounted controls, USB player, AUX in player, CD player, MP3 player and radio. Key less entry, auto air-con and all four power windows. However, the Elite has much more from a cool glove box to an auto day night mirror, two cabin illumination controls, rear parking sensor but with camera and angles. Now this definitely is a cool car. On the other hand what the Polo can post of in comparison is for an edit voice command service on the top variant. The rear seats of the Elite i20 offers much more space than the Polo. But then again we throw in a few interesting facts about both.
Ride and Handling :
The Polo versus the Elite. Polo is so enthusiastic that it tempts you to go faster. While Elite i20 so calm that it makes you forget the world. The former so energetic that every corner no matter how tight or how close seems like a job to easy. While the latter so grounded that it snuggles you in comfort even in fast speeds. The Polo comes with a 1.5 liter diesel unit. The Elite comes with a 1.4 liter. The Polo has a power output of 90 PS and so does the Elite i20. The Polo has a torque of 230 Nm and the Elite here fall short by just 10 Nm. The Polo comes with 5 gears while the Elite comes with 6. So close yet both these cars are very different on the road. The Polo's 1.5 liter unit is quick and peppy with precise steering and very impressive driving dynamics. The drawbacks are the slightly heavy clutch. The Elite on the other hand is laid back. Steering response is not as great as the Polo but its good enough to root confidence. The cabin of the Elite is also quite tough than that of the Polo. Rear seat comfort and the suspension set up is better in the Elite too. While VW suspension is not too hard any more but when you sit in the Elite, its like the car breezes over bumps.
Verdict :
Overall if we were to give titles to sum up this comparison VW polo is the driver’s delight while the Elite i20 is the family’s delight. Chose wisely because this is a tough call. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Life is precious guys..u dont need gadgets..i20 light steering took life of my friend on highway driving..Polo gives u control of your vehicle at high speeds like no other..so dont get drawn into bells & whistles u get in ur car..Polo is successful international hatchback and it is build to last for long time ... hyundai cars are cheaply rated in other countries (UK, Malaysia, etc.,) except India..FYI its not expensive to maintain for regular services..only in the case of accidents/any spare part replacement will cost you may be 15% more compared to other manufacturers..so quality never comes cheap.

VW for German quality
Polo is a nice car to drive then i20 , i have both the cars and always feels less strained on the polo when i go on a highway then on the i20. i20 features are amazing but car is made for driving and not the use your gazet's.

The Polo...may have lesser chinese gadgets, the white DRLs/Flex neons so unavoidable these days on the roads:) but its all about whats under the hood... with polo airbags are must, and come as standard... think about it... the Polo GT is the fastest hatch in the country... no match... think about it... the suspensions have to be hard...else they bust when driving a bump at 100kmph+... think about it... the gear throws are effortless and short... the steering is so precise.. you need them if u move fast or corners.. response so good... the heavy doors give a mature thud sound when closed...why do the doors have crossbars making them heavy.. think about it...the superior build quality... 3 years warranty on paint... 6 years on anti rust and perforation... underbody rubber coated... strong plastic mudflaps... the servicing is once - yes once every 15000 km or one year.. its entered in the car's CPU.... what quality of oils run thru the machine.. the ride , handling.. the vrooom... the leader when the red light turns green...the happiness of leaving everyone else behind... only VW drivers would know what that means...
hmmmm sounds good... but ye peeche wale ko kitna head room milega...aur iske side mirrors electrically adjust honge? c'mon... how many times do u adjust ur side mirrors... and how many times u need to pickup on 3rd gear from near rest in no time.. you decide.

Polo in petrol. Nothing to beat the GT TSI with 7 speed DSG but i20 in diesel anyday. Much more refined engine n power deliver is linear. Plus cost of maintenance is alot lesser and the 6th gear is very useful on highways

janta will tell buy swift or baleno or any other maruti but thats not right, vw wins this hands down polo is a way better engineered card than the i20, driving polo is like being in the battlefield driving i20 is like playing a video game so artificial, feature wise in 2018 polo matches the i20, if you want fancy childish illumination lights inside the cabin go for the korean car if you want a real car then go for the Polo, no one I say no one knows how to make a proper car other than the germans.

I20 highspeed stablity is very poor, polo is class leading. Excellent handling. 1.5 tdi engine is amazing but dont know about petrol engines.

Exterior and interior wise, i20 looks the best. Polo on other hand is a comparatively safer car. Again, the bells and whistles which come in i20 lacks in polo. VW should revamp their interiors so that they can do some justice to the price they charge for the cars.
