    Polo is more fun without a doubt, but the Hyundai is more livable in my opinion. But considering its 11 years old and it's still keeping up with the latest ones and beating them at some criterias is just amazing.

    I have the POLO GT TSI 2020 model and have been driving it for a whole year now, the creep function being a bit faster than other Automatics is actually a boon! I love that it goes a bit faster than other cars because I dont have to accelerate in traffic. you get used to it so much that when you drive any other automatic, you'll hate having to accelerate in traffic. I love my Polo GT so much that even after a year, I still feel excited when I drive it every single day.

    Hyundai should release a stripped-down version of the N-Line without some of the bells and whistles, and a manual transmission for a more analogue hot-hatch experience. Don't know how well that would work in India though

    I am driving VW Polo since 2011 and again bought another VW Polo TSI with Manual GB...still noone hatch can beat this...Even some dashing accessories can not beat VW Polo TSI.

    I own a 2019 VW golf in germany with 1.0 TSI, that generates 115PS and 200 Nm from 2000 rpm. It pulls amazingly. It's a gem. I hope they tune the next gen Polo in india with this configuration. With polo's compact structure and handling and this configuration, it will blow away every other hatchback in competition.

    It's the Polo that I would pick over the Hyundai. I test drove the TSI and the N-Line, that extra 10 horses and the i20 still felt slower than the Polo, not to forget the superior build on the Polo.

    polo gt tsi. still the undisputed hot hatch. have been owning this since 2018 with the dsg gearbox but havent driven the 2020 model(with the torque converter). pretty sure it wont disappoint

    One more thing to add is That the TSI engine is tuner-friendly! Can handle stage 2 tune without a fuss and even lowered springs. I can buy a polo and a stage 2 map plus cobra lowering springs and it will beat the I20 anyway.

    The Polo caters to a very specific part of the population while the i20 caters to a much wider sector of the population being more tech and feature heavy as well as having an adequate level of power and torque and having decent ride and handling.

    Polo is a more modular car…..you can fit stuff from other VWs and it’s more tuneable and comes with 3 pedals as well…..and Polo has more VFM

    You have to agree that the Polo TSI manual is more fun than the automatic. I own a polo TSI highline plus manual and it's much more connected than the torque converter polo.

    Doors of an i20 don't thud as best as a Polo's.. robust built, lesser rattle over long time. Of course it is lesser in instrumentation segment but a VW enthusiasts always a VW enthusiasts

    I will choose i 20 over polo, bcoz i 20 has maximum features, good performance, etc. We can't choose cars only on the basis of which is faster and which is good at performance. U can see when there is a small race between i20 and polo, u find that there is not much gap. But however polo wins. Polo has only performance engine and a german build quality. But we can't left i20 bcoz it is little bit overpriced and have less performance than polo. We have to just travel from A to B. And in that it can also run at 100+ km/hr. So, performance check is only best suitable for races. Millions of i20 has sold in india. So here comes the main part. That's why i only choose i20 best suitable and a family car with features, comfort, power and good build quality 👌

    The Polo has a very vocal and loyal fan base, for a reason no doubt!!
    But for a lot of us who are not going corner carving every weekend or pushing the limits of the car, it is a very hard sell. It does not have a lot of features that are now considered bare minimum in 2021. Features like a reversing camera, rear AC vents etc.
    And for those reasons, my vote is for the N line.

    Can add stiffer suspension and lowering springs to the polo and install a steering wheel with paddles which is plug and Play
    Yes the polo is outdated but the 1.0 TSI engine is a killer and even just a simple Stage 1+ Remap it'll be absolutely amazing 🔥

    I would defenitely go for i20Nline🔥
    Both cars are not so good at handling but i20 has great interior trims,sporty elements,paddle shifters and steering feel and feedback is actually improved from the previous gens and the features they offered for this price is insane..!🔥
    I dont understand why VW selling this 10 year old unreliable hatch for 12 lakh still in 2021

    I don’t know a single person who would upgrade from Polo/Vento to i20.

    You have missed two key areas - Tuning potential (Remap only to make it easy) and Aftermarket parts.
    Factor this in and the polo will walk away with it

    All the commenters praising the Polo have definitely not driven the i20 Nline. Just a fast engine and gearbox doesn't make a good car. It's the steering and handling that trumps in daily driving. From someone owning a first gen Polo GT TSI with DSG, trust me when is say the new i20 Nline is in a different league in steering and suspension tuning. Polo can now only live on past laurels and will be delegated down the ladder if VW doesn't update it soon.

      Personally as a gt owner I completely agree with your point it's way better in driving than the normal one the polo is particularly the drag race king and the person buying it is an enthusiast for sure just i20 don't get that thud or the quality else i20 is overall better decision than polo as of now when there are news of new polo coming by 2024

    Meanwhile, i-Turbo: Main Kya Karun, Job Chhod Doon? Wake up TAMO! You're missing on a very good segment of customers. I am sure it wasn't included here because of the larger displacement it has. Still, a drag race of all Turbo Hatches will justify things.
    A fabulous pattern of comparison. Would love more comparisons like this. 👏👏👏
    It took me another 15 minutes after the video to scroll through the comments section just to know that Yes, it was, it is & it will always be the POLO. Every single hatch that tries to be a peppy one can be pitted against the POLO & the POLO comes out with flying colors. Also, if VW is really planning to add some spice to the "India 2.0" thing, it should bring the new gen POLO to India & Skoda should bring the Fabia to India.
    No doubt the market had the Abarth Punto for a while that was a worthy competitor to the POLO. That Scorpion stinged really well.
    In my opinion, a person who doesn't need any chatter of the outside world & has that attitude of "Bhaad Mein Jaaye Duniya", will choose the POLO. Agreed that it has less space & gimmicky features. However, no messing with the "Fun to Drive" thingy. Whereas, a person who wants to be Sundar, Sushil on weekdays & Risky on weekends can go for the i20 N-Line.

    Any day a VW, Hyundai will never be able to make a quality engine and gearbox as a VW.
    The VW engineering is much ahead.
    Tha handling of the VW is awesome . Not to mention the Safty you feel in a German car !

    Polo may not have all those fancy features, but still it's the best hatchback ever!!! It may be a 10year old and outdated, yet it's the best looking car , no car can beat in its segment!!! I prefer polo for its killer looks and enthusiasts feels!!!

    In Bangalore, the difference in on road price b/w them is 2.80 lakhs. Thats a lot of money! If we are comparing HL+ AT, the difference is more than 3 lakhs. For that money I can easily get a nice set of rims, Aftermarket Head & Tail lights, Lowering springs, Valvetronic Exhaust, and a Stage 2 Remap(run rings round the N line), and then a little more. Polo makes more sense 😁
    (PS: I own a 2021 GT)

    Abarth Punto . 1.4 ltr @145 bhp for the same price . So sad fiat left india .
    But if you can still get a Punto , go for it .
    On a Punto When u step on the gas / take corners
    IT WOULD PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE .

    Polo gt tsi is muchhhh better than the normal i20/n line, in fact it's the best car in the segment but when it comes to their performance version it's the opposite, i20N is a much better car than the polo GTI

    Yes hyundai cars are feature rich, but safety 👎. Polo is outdated still the quality of interiors, paint and build quality is on top notch.
    People who wants features can go for hyundai, who want safety can choose Volkswagen. Hyundai still now did have a single car with atleast 4 star rating in crash test.

    Ignorance is bliss, you gotta test drive nline to feel what it offers. Commenting on youtube is different. Nline is good in drivability, features are awesome and give you feel good factor. It is comfortable enough for the family to sit in. It may not be fast enough for polo, but still it's very very swift and nimble. And for everything that it offers, it becomes an obvious choice in 2021, as far as premium hatch back is concerned

    It's sad that we don't get the real Hyundai i20 N line here in India.
