- Don's performance back in 2000 at Opryland with choir singing 14A.
Wearing his original Salt & Pepper suit from the Andy Griffith Show. What a great guy and real funny bit. A big highlight for me to conduct him on this song!
Produced and directed by Phillip Stegner.
This has always been one of my favorite episodes! What a treat to see the reenactment with some of the original cast members!! Thanks for uploading!!
Thelma Lou was so wonderful in that episode. She knew his shortcomings but she still loved him dearly.
My favorite two actors of all time💝
I absolutely adore and love Betty Lynn/ Thelma Lou 🌸💕
Thank you so much for posting this clip. Its my whole entire heart. I never knew he reenacted good ole 14a at any point.
Love the music being played as he was walking off! I remember that music!
I Love this! Thanks so much for sharing!!💖💖💖
Loved this!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Don Knotts!!! Oh how I miss him so!
First time I’ve seen Don Knotts recreating the song .. Wow!
Nice to see don knots and thelma lou, thanks for sharing.
I remember this episode so well. Such a great show!
Thank you!
He was the best.
Miss ya Uncle Barney
a priceless episode; especially when dk goes snooping thru the choir trying to detect whos off key...
They say in real life don knotts had😊 a nice voice.
THANKS for sharing this!
There is one major difference. John Masters directed this in 2/4 time . Phillip is directing it in 4/4 time. Love it!
hmmm? wonder if thats on purpose ...how cud he have missed that ?? LoL!
Barney Fife = 1/4
Floyd the Barber = 1/4
Andy Taylor = 1/4
Aunt Bea = 1/4
Combined = 4/4. All Deceased. Happy, now?
I might have cut off the power during their choir practice. Let em chase me to the county line. Ha ha ha!
Milli Vanilli couldn’t do it nearly as well!
You left out one of the funniest scenes, when Barney was shaking and fixing his tie to get to be invited to be in the choir..lol.
I know Don sang better than portrayed on the show.
Remember when he sung with Andy in the courthouse?
Excellent in every way! I assume it was done during Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy? Wondering what year? I would have loved to have been there. I think Don Knotts was only there once or twice.
Ok in some episodes the joke is that Barney sings atrociously off-key, and in others he's flawless (mean in multiple clips not just this one). Is there a sequence of events revealing his transformation and I missed it? Or is he just two different people manifesting at random?
Lol
