This man is truly amazing! As a pet lover I can imagine how painful this is but it’s just amazing how he turned it into a light hearted story but at the same time you could feel his true feelings in his eyes at the end ..
Am a South African, apart from Trevor's mother and grand mother, all credit to John Stewart for bringing him on an international platform to share him with the world. We will forever be indebted to you JS. Much love💗.
You have to have read the book to realize that Trevor really loved Fufi. The fact that he has the heart to make, what can only be a painful memory for him, into a funny story so that everyone can enjoy in a positive way is just incredible.
Ahhhhhh.... sweet boy, your tender little heart. I hope the family you grow has a whole pack of fufis and panthers to raise and make memories with. Dogs are the best.
Hearing the story of Fufi made me tear up. I had a dog named Scar and she was partially blind like one of my brothers. I didn’t know she was partially blind and I just thought she just liked to stare a lot. It just made me more confused because she would blink so I thought she was just always interested in staring directly into peoples soul since that’s what she would always do. I found out before her death after noticing that she was a bit afraid to go out of my back yard and would hide when my other dogs would go run around her or when things would move around in a fast motion. She passed away almost the same way as Fufi did except it wasn’t a family friend, but some guy breaking in and the gate was old and pretty much hanging off of its hinges. Of course, my dogs immediately attacked him and scared him off but the gate landed on Scar and broke her spinal cord, her left leg, and it cracked open her head. She was too scared to move after my other dogs began barking and running in a frenzy. We had to put her down.
I'm literally crying for Fifi now. Trevor you are so inspirational. If we could get a good lesson or good memory from a tragedy it helps to face the future with a positive outlook. I hope to remember this when we meet.
