@00:01:08 : I mentioned a 2 meters cord. oops I was meant to say 1mt cord. And I was just reusing one of the cords that I will be using afterwards for the "gathering knot" of the top or of the bottom.
The "you will need.." part is Correct the rest of the video shouldn't cause any issues.
This tutorial was made with the purpose of practicing some pre production and post production video skills.
I chose to make a tutorial video.

Now THIS is a step by step, wonderful explanation!!! I tried watching another and it was SKIPPING steps!!! Thank you so much!
Just so you know, this video's still being used! I just made my first one from this video, and I'm going to teach my boyfriend from it next!
Same here today
And today!
That was an excellent video.
No way would I have thought this achievable.
The sheer terror of calculating alone...
I'm confident after watching ur tutorial it and the end results are so impressive.
I decided I would try this instead of paying much more for a planter in-store. Thank you for sharing! I loved your detailed instructions.
I used to make these with my mom back in the eighties when I was 6 or 7. I loved it!! Haven't seen these in so long!
I used to make these in the 1970s when I was first married. No w 51 years later, retired and wanting to hang my new spider plant. I needed a refresher tutorial. This was perfect thank you❤❤❤
I thought it was quite easy to follow once I'd practiced the knots thank you!
You have made the tutorial so easy to follow! I always thought these hangers looked super complicated but now I can't wait to make one! Thankyou for sharing 😊
You genuinely made macarame easy for me.
Thank you so much for such tutorial which made it easier for beginners.
I used your tutorial to make my very first plant hanger & it turned out great!! Thank you very much for sharing your very easy to follow steps ☺️
This was my first project too! Not quite as neat and tidy as in the video, but I'm proud if it all the same
Got cut out of a deal for a bunch of planting stuff I was excited about buying (these most of all) and decided I’m just gonna make my own. Thank you so much for your tutorial. I’m excited to create these
Thank you so much i just finish my first ever macrame plant hanger its so beautiful and satisfying thank you for sharing your talent. God bless you
Wow! I was looking for this exact tutorial to create a square knot loop plant hanger. Thankyou so much for your expertise and great easy to follow tutorials ❤
Thank you for that tutorial. I did that hanger and it turned out great, even though it was my first time doing anything with macrame.
This is my first time making a macrame plant hanger and I followed your whole tutorial to make one, it was so easy. Thank you!!
Wow Im delighted to hear that! Glad you liked it and got to make it. ♥
Beautiful! Just getting into this craft and I'm hoping to make my first plant hanger right now thanks to this video!
I tried similar hanger today and it turned out well. Thank you for showing all the details.
I truly love 70s decor, and I'm so happy to see it coming back! Thank you for sharing this video. I've been wanting to buy some macrame plant holders, but I feel it will be more satisfying to make them myself. I'm so excited to start!! ❤️🪴❤️
The video, presentation, your voice, everything, perfect! Thank you

When I got to the end of the second set of twisted knots I had to swap the inside strings with the working strings because they were getting too short while the inside ones were still really long. A simple square knot at the bottom of the twist to keep the strings in place.. I just finished it though and it’s perfect 😍
Yeah I didn’t know what to do w such short strings !!!!!! I continued til the twisted knots and now I don’t know how to continue unless I knot an additional string to the short ones 🙄☹️
Don't be like me and be like oh no these two on the inside are way shorter, I need to undo it all and switch them and start over. Like I had such a blonde moment lol
Just finished making this for my string of hearts! My first ever macrame project and I loved it!
Wonderful!
What is the total length
very easy to follow tutorial! i really enjoyed making my first macrame plant hanger using your video!!!
Thanks a lot for this tutorial ❤️, referred this for my very first project on macrame. I couldn't believe I made it within 2 hours and it turned out really Beautiful. Again a Big thanks for your effort
love reading about this !
@@tatianacm2492 Keep posting your work. It was really helpful.❤️❤️
Was so happy to make the Spiral Stitch Knots
This is so good! I was using a thicker string so I found I had to keep the second spirals shorter or I ran out but it still turned out so well!
I think this is my issue too. Did you just do 10 for the second spiral section?
Yesss! I'm just like Ahhhhh. It's sooo relaxing. Like Gal Gadot is reading me a bedtime story.
I love this pattern! Thank you!
Thank you.Glad you enjoy it ♥
Wow! This is amazing and I am now going to attempt to make one. Your instructions are excellent. Thank you so very much!
I just made this for my mum and she loved it! Thanks for the video :)
This is the best diy video I've ever watched. People really try to sound smart and I hate it. ❤
So much fun to watch, great production value. I'll have to try this and let you know if it makes a good tutorial, but it was entertaining for sure.
It was so satisfying to watch this happen, amazing!
My mum just taught me how to make these, I love them! It's fairly easy and makes a great present 🎁
I am new and have watched several videos. Yours is the first that gave the names of the knots. This is wonderful and really appreciated. I am going to make this soon. Really hope you do more videos as you did an amazing job.
i'm having such a hard time figuring out those measurements you used, but other than that your video is incredibly well made and helpful, thank you!
im sorry about that. You are so right. I should have write the measurements on the video. I just added them on the description.
4 Strings 220 ''' 4 strings 160'' worked better for me. Tie with the longer strings; the middle strings are short. Separate accordingly. Really beautiful pattern. Thanks for posting!!
I just made this. Took a bit longer than 6 minutes but it turned out perfect. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this. I made one quite quickly and it looks great 🙏🏽
Thanks for the tutorial, just did my first macramee plant hanger with it and I am so happy!! :)
ive always wanted one, thank you for this tutorial! i made a green and brown one out of jute and added a few wooden pink beads! it is so cute!
sounds lovely
excellent images with very clear descriptions - the best I have seen for this project. Thank you, Tatiana!
I bought a kit, and needed a tutorial. Appreciate 😊
What an easy tutorial to follow! This was my first attempt. My cord was much thicker than yours, so I had to adapt...but it turned out fine. Just shorter and without spirals. I'll try thinner cord next time :)
Super happy with the results. Your video is very easy to follow. Thank you
Very well explained dear👍👍👍
Definitely gonna try this out🤩
I don’t understand why some people show their dislike by choosing 👎
Look at the efforts behind her work
If u cannot encourage their work ,so please don’t discourage them also..
Ur one positive comment will helps them to grab more energy and motives them to work more harder, one negative comment will break their self confidence
So please dont do such..These people take out their precious time to make such videos
So Please try to encourage them , if u do such u wont gonna loose anything..
My such feeling is not only for her
But for everyone out there..
So Please spread positive vibes🙏🙏🙏
Aliya, that is so lovely for you to say and encourage others to be more positive. 🌈
Best tutorial ever thank you 🙏🏼 I hope you continue to upload more videos
Your videos are great! You do a great job explaining everything!
Great video! Just made my first macrame hanging . Love it
Thanks, it is very clear and I have a great plant hanger now made of rough coconut rope. What did not work out so well is that the 2 ropes for the hanging knots (the first 16 knots) become very short compared to the other 14, so had to improvise a bit.
I’m having the same issue. What did you do?
@@taylord4191 I extended the chord and hid the knot
Oh my goodness . You talented girl. ❤️
Great tutorial!! I just made my first macrame hanger following your video and I LOVE it! Would love to see more videos from you!

Thanks for this, I've watch other videos but I found yours very helpful.
i used 5mm cord and ran out v quickly, suspect I am not the only one and only discovered you were using 3mm cord just now. Suggest your measurements should reference the cord diameter and I reckon 5mm cord is about 60% bigger so needs to be 60% longer. i think someone else mentioned 6m and 1.6m lengths... going to try that now :)
great video tho, thanks!
New Member. Love from India👍👍👍👍👍👍
Tatita.muy linda tu demostración de Macrame
Looks really good, my only problem was some of my cords ended up really short at the end so it was hard to finish... Do you know how this might have happened? I would like to try again but don't want to go wrong again! Thanks
Same thing happened to me
Same
It happens because you are using the same cords always to make the knots, the other two are just hanging in the middle. Maybee you could next time just make those 2 from the section of 4 wich you use for making the knots longer than the others
@@laurahenrich9510 hey! Not quite clear. Could you explain it better pls
When you do the knots, you have 4 cords: 2 on the outside and 2 on the inside. The 2 on the outside are used to loop around the inside cords to make the knots, so you use more of the outside cords than the inside ones. Therefore, if they all start the same length, by the end the 2 outside cords will be much shorter than the insides. You could fix this by making half of your cords about half a metre longer to start with, and using the longer ones as your outside cords.
Eg. Start with four 4m cords and four 4.5m cords.
Brilliant idea. I want to learn on how to do this.
Thank you for a tutorial without a ring👍🏻
So beautiful
