    Came out great! I followed the advice on the comments and made my string a yard longer for each. I made a pretty long hanger for a decent sized pot and i did have lots of left over string. Some ranged from less than a yard to 2 yards longer that I had cut off. But it’s okay cuz I can reuse that string for other projects so I would rather cut off than have it come out too short.

    made my first macrame. Turned out great. I do recommend using more 1 yard. The height was a little less than 4 feet.

    I loved how it turned out. I did switched out the working cords with the filler cords when I added the second bead and it kept the length more even. Thank you for the great tutorial.

      I just started macrameing and I notice there are longer cords left than others. What do you mean by filler cords, and how do you keep all your cords the same size? Thanks in advance for your reply. 🥰

      @@gabrieladeuschle3596 filler cords are the two middle cords that you do the square knots and the spiral knots around. She just swapped the outer (working) cords with the inner (filler) cords. It's actually really pretty.

      I made a board using the lid from a polystyrene box. I covered it In material. I can sit on the setee with it on my lap to do my macramé, pins go in it easily to hold your work.

    This was my first project and it was really easy and well explained! I had barely enough lenght for some, but some other strings were still very long. It ended up working perfectly for the size I needed tho, I even made it a bit shorter so it all worked out. Thank you! this was easy to follow

    I did this with a 4mm cord and I had a lot of strong left over. I made it to fit a 10 inch pot.

    Do you mean 6 yards a piece? Or all together? Because I'm using 18ft 3mm cord and have beyond enough and it seems wasteful. Just wondering

      I believe once she folds it over after her ring it will only be 3yards, or 9 feet.

    What is the approximate length of the plant hanger when it is complete? About what size pot does this design hold? I've been having some issues with finding planters that work for my macrame projects so it would be nice to know this ahead of time. Thanks!

      Looks like a devil ivy 🌱 plant. They grow fast and easy to grow. Mine is dark green leaves and white. You can grow starts off it also.

      I wet the ends of my cord and then twist them together !

    When I did the last round of spiral knots, I only have about 12" left of the outside cords. In the video it looks like all the cords were long enough to finish the project. What did I do wrong?

    The cords are too short. I’ve run out and can’t finish. Cut them a yard longer.

      Yes! When your cord is thicker you need more and when it is thinner you need less, I hope this helps :)

      6 yards is approx 5.5 metres and 7 yards is approx 6.4 metres

      Mine are too short also. This is my first time making anything Macrame and I don't know what I did wrong. But, Some of my cords are very short.

      Hi, I cut them by yards, not feet. I cut 6 cords at 6 yards and 2 cords at 7 yards. I hope this helps.

    It looks good but it would be nice to see a picture of the whole thing at the same time. You have just given a clip of the top, the bottom & the middle not one full photo.
