I am known in all the bars i drink in i never have a bill and pay each time this doesn't make me a painful customer at all in fact most appreciate it and if i see a bin on my table i ask the waitress "whats this" i have no bill, it allows me to never have a problem or arguments about being ripped off when had a lot of drinks, this doesn't stop me from having company and buying ladydrinks as i buy many, i also have a big roll of 20's and tip doormen or security and my barman so i get my scotch almost straight and original instead of local i never buy ladydrinks that are double triples or juice.

In the beer bars or gogos, you have some small recourse if the bargirl you take out doesn't provide adequate entertainment, satisfaction, or whatever. You can go back to the bar and...while you might not get your money back for the barfine, you can have some satisfaction in the complaint and knowing they could lose your business. Also--the beer bar girls etc are at least ocCASionally tested for infections. As for street hookers, cheaper...yes. But no recourse. Bring them to your hotel, lock up your valuables and you have a higher risk of ripoff...potentialy. Also catching an STD maybe.

It's all about physical look, there is no 8/9 or 10s on the road !. 5 or 6 is just the top, hardly any 7 on the 'beach roads/walking streets' .You need to go places like Illusion on Bangla Road or Sky Fall i Pattaya to meet 9/10. A lot of 8s in Soi 6 , go to Hooters to see 9/10s . Main roads gym is another place to met stunners !. Also freelancers don't do monthly medical like Soi 6 ladies .I recognize some of the Beach Road "workers", operating there for a year or 2 . So just think how many Indians & others bang her!. Many times freelancer would go with 2 or 3 Indians to STH !.

I was in Thailand for 3 weeks, in that time I unknowingly got involved with a thai gang, a thai gang that used to be a SWAT team. I didn't believe him but never said that, I guess he just sensed I didn't believe him, he then brought out his phone, showed me recordings of him and his team dressed up in swat gear and breaking in buildings, then he raised his shirt, showed me his armed and his men showed me too and told me if anyone messes with me to tell them and they'll fix him. I kept buying them all drinks and they told me to get a tattoo and it will get me everything and anything in certain streets for free. I really enjoyed my time with them and they seemed to genuinely have a really good time too but I felt a bit uncomfortable and went back to my hotel to sleep.

Here's an oldie, but goldie: Some unscrupulous bars will exploit you financially any way they can. They'll usually do this after you've had a few but some will even try this on with you with the very first drink. If you order a Jack n coke ( spirit + mixer ), they'll rub the spirit around the rim of the glass and put less in the glass than you pay for. This tricks your tastebuds and sense of smell into thinking you've got a stronger drink than you have. They also will swap out premium drinks like Jack Daniels for a cheaper Whisky. If you ask for Scotch and a mixer, they'll even go one further and palm you off with a cheap homemade knock-off.
Never been to a Thai Gogo bar but have been in lots of them in Philippines. I always order a big bottle of beer (red horse) for the girl. She cant drink it quickly. 😊

A Russian gogo dancer was pushing me to buy her a drink in Pattaya. I had no interest in her and refused. She stamped on my foot with a stiletto heel and tried to punch in the me in the balls, luckily just missing. I wasn't offensive. I just politely refused to buy her a drink. I have also seen a couple of Thai guys being beaten up by bouncers in Pattaya. They were beaten including hit over the head with a stool by the mamasan and held arms and legs and thrown into the street three times. Twice they came back still fighting but not the third time. The bar rang the bell and announced a free drink for every when they were finally gone. All the farangs cheered loudly, not concerned that the two Thais were motionless in the gutter outside, possibly dead. I refused the free drink and left.
Another one is "buy drink for my sister" In the first place its not her sister. Just say " no thank you. I only like to be with one lady at a time. Or I'm with you right now.
My first trip was back in January of this year. As a regular, well known customer you can take some photos but first ask permission and better have the mamasan take it. That latter will also make it possible for you to be in it. One misstake in this video. Tipping is in their culture the same as always bargain on products that does not have a price tag. If you do not bargain they will se you as rude and the same goes for tipping. Tipping is really a must or they will not like you at all. For some people like waiters, the tip is the majority of their salary. 10 % of the total is a good rule. In the hotel, it is a good rule to put 20-100 on your bed for the cleaners too. The cleaners go the extra mile also if you do, and you want any girl that you go with to see a very clean room. You do not want them to think you are dirty.

Pay for every round of drinks each time they come to the table, they will pad the drink slips if you accumulate them, also, keep small money in your pockets and big money in your ankle socks. The bar staff can only see a few hundred baht or pesos when you pay for each round

A Russian gogo dancer was pushing me to buy her a drink in Pattaya. I had no interest in her and refused. She stamped on my foot with a stiletto heel and tried to punch in the me in the balls, luckily just missing. I wasn't offensive. I just politely refused to buy her a drink. I have also seen a couple of Thai guys being beaten up by bouncers in Pattaya. They were beaten including hit over the head with a stool by the mamasan and held arms and legs and thrown into the street three times. Twice they came back still fighting but not the third time. The bar rang the bell and announced a free drink for every when they were finally gone. All the farangs cheered loudly, not concerned that the two Thais were motionless in the gutter outside, possibly dead. I refused the free drink and left.

Post-pandemic a lot of stunners got sponsors, and didn't need to go back to the bars. However, I visited in January and April, of 2024, and there were a lot of stunners working Nana Plaza. Specially, Billboard's and a couple others. The stunners, generally, don't stand in front of the bars on Soi Cowboy. So, you're going to see more average girls on TH-cam videos, outside. These tipping tips were mostly geared towards multiple visits, where you want to build up a reputation. But, if I'm only going to visit the bar a couple times, I'm not tipping the security. 100B to the mamasan and waitress. Couple drinks for me and my lady, then off for aerobics! All depends on what you're looking for.
Visited Nana with pal in Jan 2023 and again to Patpog in Sept of 2023. First time I simply connected mostly with the beer bars and found the gogos to be expensive. Some men are quite content to visit massage joints with full service.

Good advice. In terms of scams, Soi Cowboy is now the worst place. Very expensive drinks, lady drinks, bill padding and prices for ladies vary massively. It's odd, I guess it has become a victim of its own success? But I would stay away if I am thinking of going to the bars as a newbie.

These cafe bars are a whole different life style. depending on the country, there are so many of these Standing on the Street girls and Cafe bars, it really becomes very competitive. Bar fines vary, from 2000 n more depending on girl. Best to ask mamasan , there may be a set price or it can be left to the girl. Personally i have a figure in my head that i stick to, if she is too pricy n wont come to my price i move on . Barfines are non refundable ..555

As a regular, well known customer you can take some photos but first ask permission and better have the mamasan take it. That latter will also make it possible for you to be in it. I have a couple of photos taken inside an A-Go-Go with me, my then fiancée, the mamasan and the owner's wife in the picture.

One misstake in this video. Tipping is in their culture the same as always bargain on products that does not have a price tag. If you do not bargain they will se you as rude and the same goes for tipping. Tipping is really a must or they will not like you at all. For some people like waiters, the tip is the majority of their salary. 10 % of the total is a good rule. In the hotel, it is a good rule to put 20-100 on your bed for the cleaners too. The cleaners go the extra mile also if you do, and you want any girl that you go with to see a very clean room. You do not want them to think you are dirty.
Tipping is not in Thai culture. Some vendors will even refuse a tip, outside of Pattaya that is.

Better advice; learn some basic conversational Thai, go to normal bars and act politely - do not appraise women, especially as "eye candy".
