Me too. It is not done very logically. "A 1" has 2 different meaning, depending on what you selected 🙄 In Start Times, A 1 means the first time to start the full program A. In Run Times, A 1 means station 1 will run for x minutes in program A 🙄 Very confusing !
I'm confused with the interval portion. I want it to water every day, 2 times a day. When it jumps to interval, it won't allow me to set it to NO intervals. I'm confused. Any help is appreciated.
Setting intervals to 1 will allow watering every day as will allowing it to water M, T, W, Th, F, Sa, Su. For watering a second time each day, set another run time.
Good question about programming. To check to see which zones are in your programs turn the dial to Run Times, and use the arrows to change between zones and the PRG button to change between programs. If a zone has a run length it is in the program.
Since you talk about A, all 7 are in program A ... The A1 to A4 you talk about, are the start times of program A. So all your zones 1 to 7 will be sprayed for the time set for A1 to A7
To irrigate the zones manually one-by-one, please see the instructions in the article linked below: www.hunterindustries.com/support/x2-one-touch-manual-start-and-advance
I have 2 stations but its programmed A1 & A2. I am only able to set for 1 cycle each however based on this video I believe I need to re program to a A1 & B1 so that I can have multiple cycles per station. Can anyone confirm?
@@Hunter_Landscape_Irrigation did they give me a bad timer? What I’ve noticed is the timer don’t have a 5th zone so I cannot control what time that turns on and what I also notice is the system would run for two cycles. Resulting in using more water. My water bill just came in and it went up too.
I have a similar situation. I have 8 zones and they’re all under program A. So I can flip through and test A1-A8. That’s great and all, but I can only do start times for A1-A4. I’m so confused.
It’s because you only have 4 zones lol go out to your valve box open it up and count how many valves you have in it. There are two types of timers there is a Hunter X2 5 station and a Hunter X2 8 station. So let’s say you have 3 valves you will still have to have a 5 station timer installed bc they only come in two sizes. Or if you have 7 valves you still have to have to 8 station timer.
Great question, the X2 controller has a non-replaceable 3V CR2032 lithium battery installed directly on the circuit board. The controller will immediately enter hibernation mode when AC power is unavailable. The battery backup keeps the current date and time during power outage conditions. The battery will last for approx. 5 years.
My hunter water sprinkle not running automatically but manual it’s work How to fix the problem from manual to automatically because I try many time but still not work
Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support When the dial is in the START TIMES position, the A1 is for program A start time #1. You only need one start time programmed. Start times 2, 3, and 4 should say off unless you want to repeat the program. With the dial in the RUN TIMES position the A1 is for program A and zone #1. This is where you would enter the run time for each zone.
Hello. Thanks for sharing the training video. I am setting up my greenhouses, crop field and lawns in Karachi, Pakistan and for me it is very interesting solution. However, i am generating electric power using solar panels approx 30kW. I know electric consumption depends on system size, that is why i want to know what variables are considered to determine electric power requirement? Also, you used term "Station" while explaining the system. Is every solenoid valve an station or every sprinkler? Please share email address to communicate about commercial offer.
Try turning OFF and back to RUN. If the system continues to count down the stations I suggest checking your settings once more. You're more than welcome to get in contact with Hunter Tech support so we can review your settings together. support@hunterindustries.com
Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support. Hunter controllers have multiple programs and the ability for each program to have multiple start times. You would want to use different programs if you would want to run separate stations (or zones) on different days.. To set up each program, you would need to program START TIMES, RUN TIMES, and WATER DAYS for each program. Below is an example of programming multiple programs on a 4 station controller: Example: You have a 4 Station X-Core controller. (Your controller may be a different model, but the steps are the same). Your lawn stations are valves #1 and #2. Your shrubs stations are valves #3 and #4. You want the lawn stations to water Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4:00 am and again at 6:00 am for 6 minutes per station. Then you want the shrub stations to water on Saturdays at 6:00 am for 10 minutes per station.
If the rain sensor is interrupting irrigation, you can bypass it by using the bypass switch on the front of the controller. Slide the switch to the SENSOR BYPASS position to disable the rain sensor from the system to allow for controller operation.
Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support. The Hunter X2 controller does not have the ability to run station for a certain amount of seconds. Best tutorial ever! Clear, specific and easy to understand. Awesome job! I'm on my own now and grateful for the simple instructions!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for doing such a basic and clear video tutorial that was easy to follow!
Our goal is just that, glad it helped!
thank you for such a clearly done tutorial! Super helpful since the company who installed was not.
Thank you! My new home was already programmed. I had no idea how the system works.
Happy to hear this video helped!
Genuinely the best video on this topic I've ever seen. It finally all makes sense.
My mom bought one.
I hope to help her program it tomorrow. Thanks.
Glad it helped
Thanks! I don't have a man to do this, so I have to do it myself. Couldn't figure out how on Earth to make this thing work. The video helped!
wao keep it up
I thought A1 to A4 were the stations. Had my grass watered for like 2 hours at a time this week. Thank you.

Hi can you run the system manually for 1 hour but run each zone separately for 1 hour each?
i have a well filling a tank. once my tanks are full my pump would run. Would this controller be helpful?
Thanks for the help! Quick question, if I have 7 zones (A1-A7) how do I know which is coupled with which programs (A1-A4?)

Can the X2 be programmed to open two valves/Zones simultaneously?
The X2 controller can operate one zone at a time. Some of our larger commercial controllers can operate multiple zones or stations at a time.
thanks for this video, but how can i irrigate 4 zones one by one with one pump with different time
To irrigate the zones manually one-by-one, please see the instructions in the article linked below:

You know what I want? I want to set day, time and be done. All the other like odd/even has confounded programming for me
Perfect! The days of the week option is what you want and ignore the odd/even choice.
EXCELLENT!!
Thank you

How do I know how many zones I have?
Sold down the cover and see how many wires are connected to the corresponding zone wires

is this a 220 volt controller
The X2 controller operates on 110 vac. Full details are here: www.hunterindustries.com/irrigation-product/controllers/x2tm-wand
How does "Sensor Bypass" work?
If the rain sensor is interrupting irrigation, you can bypass it by using the bypass switch on the front of the controller. Slide the switch to the SENSOR BYPASS position to disable the rain sensor from the system to allow for controller operation.
Can i set it to run for 15 Seconds
