I love this skin for lore reasons too, I find it hilarious that in universe Thresh became what he is because he thought he was too good for his job. Meanwhile, Janitor Thresh looks like he gets up everyday with joy in his eyes ready to scrub toilets all day. Pure Spongebob energy as he jogs down the street singing "I'm ready, I'm ready!" on his way to work as a humble custodian.
Skin really does good job. Of making Thresh, a brand new character. He looks like one of those school Janitors that know all shit. Rumors, gossips, school legends and other lore.
Yeah I just read the lore and looking at that/the skin art, it looks like the thing that made him turn evil was just the lack of sunlight and social interaction
Fun fact, part of why this skin exists was a Brazilian low budget cosplay held over facebook some years ago that absolutely blew up, and a guy dressed up as janitor thresh won.
Love the little lore blurb on the skin which implies corporate Mundo hired him because he misunderstood what people meant by money laundering and thought that was the janitors job. That or janitor Thresh genuinely does money laundering on the side for shits&giggles and I can't decide which I like more.

I love this skin for two main reasons: it’s funny to think that TD Senna sued Thresh Records *so hard* that now Thresh has to be a measly janitor. No disrespect to irl janitors of course, but high and mighty Thresh being reduced to janitor feels like justice for Senna. And for the idea of Thresh and Janitor Leoric from Heroes of the Storm getting coffee after union meetings. Putting skeleton man into janitor position has worked twice to great effect, and I wonder if JT was an homage to/inspired by JL from the artists at Riot.
You know, I was confused about why a rubber duck specifically, but if it's a stand-in for the souls he collects, I guess it's better than littering the rift with wadded up balls of paper towels.
I have no clue who this guy is and have never played League but I just like this character design. Like this is a cool looking guy on its own. Floating skull with bright green flames for a body and bones for hair wearing something a teenage janitor in a cartoon would??? Yeah I fuck with that
One of My favorite parts here is that they very easily could have reused Thresh’s face from the base skin, but they instead put the extra effort to remodel it to look more stylized and cartoony
As someone who doesn't play League, this gave me a smile. The sheer cohesion on not just all the tools but the effects too is excellent. It's so good you could probably convince someone who doesn't know better this WAS the original.
When Riot does joke skins, they know how to nail the concept down. It is almost silly to think one of his best skins is him as a janitor and yet the concept has near perfect execution with how they put it together.
Imo, the bone tendrils he has for hair kind of remind me of dreadlocks which I think adds to his sorta chill but devoted janitor aesthetic, he's someone who knows their situation and doesn't fall for tricks easily but he also is just kinda enjoying life and has a really nice skweegee. 10/10 janitor vibes, would hire again.
Reminds me a lot of Leoric's Janitor skin in HotS. I have to agree that the contrast between ethereal skeleton face and him slaping you with a wet mop is inherently funny.
Not sure how many videos he's complained about a "lack of paint splatter" or mud or something. This is one of the few skins that actually includes grime and he didn't even mention it.
There are five tiny stain bits on his shirt. His pants and boots are squeaky clean, and so is _the bucket full of dirty water_ and _his gloves that he uses to clean dirty things._ It's nice that there's a little tiny bit of staining and dirt on the character, but it is the very barest minimum that the concept requires, and it's such a bare minimum that it would be weird to compliment it.
