Darn it pressed on your video link at the end to pause the video and lost my comment doh. I will re summise. Great drone shots Ian, really show off the surrounding areas. Love the colour of the kitchen, the echo in the rooms given that they were so huge. Very tasteful bedrooms and en-suite would suit a very large family. Very quirky reminders of what it used to be, the boiler was interesting but im not sure how keen I would be seeing water running under where I’m staying. There seems to be a theme now with large chess sets wherever you stay, are you guys requesting those? 🧐 I hope Gary finds his puffins, who are those crazy two at the end? Wonderful Airbnb 👍

Yes, definitely in the stables! That courtyard was beautiful, and there were loads of separate units all around it. Great place for a wedding or family reunion!
That's a really lovely place to stay. I do like accomodation that's a bit different, especially if it's an old building repurposed. The owners have done a wonderful job with their AirBnB.
I love how the British road signs have 'THE NORTH' and 'THE SOUTH' in capital letters! The Airbnb looks great! Must have been dusty and half-derelict before the renovation. Great transformation.

We ended up driving around like crazy people every day because we were going all over the place in such a short amount of time. The last five months has been a blur! We fly back to Texas on Monday 😳
I’m 59 and can remember spending great holidays in North Yorkshire I had left school in 1981 so it must have been in the early 1980’s having holidays in North Yorkshire, The Dales Etc Scarborough Whitby Harrogate Knaresborough And many other places around. I live in Birmingham I’ve not been well over the last 12 months but my favourite place is RIVA DEL GARDA which is at the top of the Lake. Yes, the worst bird attack was Ian being attacked by a gull in Saint Ives! If you haven't seen the St Ives video, check that one out. That nasty bird drew blood! Ian had a long scratch up his neck! Also in Cornwall a rooster attacked me... Falmouth video... I had a bruise for weeks!

The boiler type was also used in out houses ( small brick sheds ) to wash clothing , a similar boiler , cold water ,was used to rinse the clothing and a dolly ( a T shaped device with a slotted bell shaped at the end ) was used in both operations . It was basically a manual top loader washing machine . Finally a set of rollers were used to squeeze out the water .
Bloomin' 'eck, looks like top digs. Pretty sure I could only afford the pre-reno version. Like, it would still have sheep muck in it. I like it when they give new life to a farm shed.
@@MagentaOtterTravels yep, that's what we did for a week skiing in Austria once. Our whole extended family. About 16 people, kids and adults. Made it really cheap. Stupidly cheap. If we'd done the same in Oz the daily rate would've been what we paid for a week in Austria. Skiing is expensive here. It is cheaper for us to fly to Japan to ski. 😂

Just fyi, the difference between a blacksmith and a farrier is that a blacksmith is a general metal worker, and a farrier not only works metal but shoes horses. In the past a blacksmith was a cover all word but now only a qualified farrier can shoe horses. Incidentally, my farrrier came today as Connor pulled off a shoe! My non horsey sister says that the most important man in a woman’s life is her mechanic but l say that the most important man in a horsewoman’s life is her farrier!

you should have been able to bird watch anywhere in the UK TBH. all you have to do is ask Ian to stand outside for 10 minutes and some form of bird would attack him. I bet that Peacock had spotted him through the window. lol
I think I am correct in saying that this is not an AirBnB but a self-catering cottage. I thought the original definition of an AirBnB was that you stayed in someone's home. This is obviously not the case here.
In my opinion, any reservation you make on the Airbnb app is "an Airbnb". I'm familiar with the term self-catering cottage because I have been travelling to Britain for over 30 years, but that is not a term that is used in the states. The funny thing about Airbnb is that they actually are not B&B ... most of the time there's no breakfast! Lol
Not so sure about the farm implements on the wall. I hope they're securely riveted on. The Swiss Army Knife has a tool for removing stones from horses hooves. Useless fact of the day. There are two official makers of Swiss Army Knives. The Swiss Army always order 50% from each maker to avoid arguments. 😁😁 Had to smile when you said spacious. Puy and her family stayed for a day at a villa yesterday. The lounge was as big as the courtyard at 7:32. I won't mention the two private swimming pools. 😂

We went to Harwich last week..to halfpenny pier..from where the Mayflower set sail..a fabulous old town..the memorabilia around town was good..
