CLIP DESCRIPTION:
J (Will Smith) and K (Josh Brolin) draw information out of an alien (Lenny Venito) by bowling with his head.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Men in Black are back, and this time Agent J (Will Smith) must take a trip into the past in order to save both the future and his taciturn partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) in the third installment of the hit sci-fi comedy series. After 15 years of working with aliens from all across the cosmos, Agent J is sure he's seen it all. But just when he's getting the hang of the game, he learns that history has inexplicably been rewritten. In this new timeline of events, Agent K has been dead for 40 years, and Earth will soon come under attack from an extraterrestrial force with the power to claim the entire planet. Now, in order to set the past straight and head off an invasion of epic proportions, Agent J must travel back to the year 1969, when Young Agent K (Josh Brolin) was just a fresh new face on the force. I kinda feel like him cuffing Jay in the car was a test - if you're really my partner, you should know where I keep the spare. Then when he does, the playful 'lucky guess' followed immediately by 'you bowl in the future?', it all seems too perfect for him not to have been testing him lol

"Lucky guess" isn't a denial, as much as he's willing to admit it, _just not openly._ It's the only mechanism he can think of, _besides_ him being his future partner and knowing that personal crap, to have liberated himself from the handcuffs, so that's what he's going to lead with as a paranormal investigator:
J just picked apart the car in boredom and, "lucky guess," started with the ash tray, whether K believes that or not (he's believed him since he shut off the neuralyzer), he's still not discounting it.
@@landonletterman831 Yup. I can't remember if it is explicitly stated in the movie but as soon as J told him the truth, K believed him and was listening, but in a stoic way.

MIB III: The two are now equals.

@@boredlawyer3382 It might help a bit with getting weird pin action, but the fact that the head is not a smooth sphere is going to make it go in unpredictable directions, making it harder to land that perfect shot.

Yeah, the seven-ten split is about as bad luck as you can get.
Actually the 5-7-10 is considered to be most difficult, according to the PBA. There is not a single record of any PBA pro converting that split on the tour, and very few examples of pros leaving behind the 5-7-10. One rare example is from Chris Barnes, when he was in Europe.

That sounds more like a blooper than an outtake. An outtake is something that actors do that would not have been in the movie at all {Like if Tommy Lee Jones & Josh Brolin had started playing "Keep Away" with Bowling Ball Head & Lenny Venito was trying to get it back.}

7 10 split happens if you bowl in a straight line, very common actually most common. You need to hit at a small angle to make pins knock over other pins.
Grossly underrated movie. Liked this one the best out of all of them. And there is NO way you don’t have a tear in your eye at the end. No matter how macho you think you are! Lol.

This scene always makes me laugh when I'm feeling down.
J's casual reaction to the alien head rip off should have sealed it for K he was an agent with MIB.
I remember when they shot this scene near my house. All the kids used to go to this bowling alley during our field trips and stuff. Looked different when we would go lol, must of renovated it for the movie. My old substitute teacher's dad owned this bowling alley. He even showed our class some pics of him and his dad with Will Smith while they were still shooting. I remember a bunch of us getting to meet Will Smith outside and thinking how cool it was.
the great thing about this is that J and Current K had a lot of chemistry and the way they made younger K character and how Josh Brolin acted, the chemistry was still there, it's amazing, they look like they've been partners for a long time even though young K doesn't even know J for more than a couple of hours!!!

And Tommy Lee Jones is FAAAR too good to be de-aged
Casting a new actor for a younger version of an established character is always a great opportunity to hone in impersonation skills, and Brolin hit it out of the park with this one. That's how it's done.
I watched this movie when I was 12 and I absolutely loved it. 12 year old me didn't know who Josh Brolin was, despite having seen _The Avengers_ a year prior, but I did know that he captured everything about K perfectly. Like if I didn't know any better, I'd've thought they actually went back in time to get a younger Tommy Lee Jones.

I still really like it. Josh Brolin definitely steals the show in every scene he's in. As he should, as this is a movie about K and his one failure.
Also, it's not as bad as some other MIB movies. *cough, cough* _Men In Black: International_ *cough, cough* I'm sorry, but no amount of Chris Hemsworth's ungodly handsomeness could fix that trainwreck.
Even LIAM NEESON couldn't save that movie from mediocrity.

The World's Fair was 1964, the movie in 1969. Only five years after establishment and the MIB is already a respected/loathed organization among aliens, the ultimate representors and protectors of Earth. I wonder how the first agents after Kay were recruited? I'm a sucker for lore so that line sticks out for me lol.

This scene was shot in the Bronx NYC down the block from middle school PS 83. It was so awesome to see a whole Modern New York block be turned into a classic movie set. The whole block was lined with classic cars and trailers with for the actors. Every day after school we used to go and post up outside the trailers to try and get a autograph from the actors for about 2 weeks.
Got to actually shake Will Smiths hand.
My class was chosen out of the whole school to go see the Premier of MIB 3 a whole WEEK early.
Will Smith actually came to the Premier and let us ask him questions. It was honestly one of the coolest moments to actually get to talk to Will.
Super humble, and funny guy.

Anyone else wish we could have had more movies with J and Young K? These two were great (not to knock Tommy Lee Jones, but Josh Brolin nailed it as a younger version). Josh Brolin could have done a US Marshals movie as a younger version of TLJ's Gerard from The Fugitive.
