Hey there! Do you like Easter Eggs, Glitches, and Fun Facts in videogames like Terraria, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, and more? If so, then you've come to the right channel! I love finding and sharing small details in video games, which is why I create my Easter Egg videos. Just in case people are *wondering* about what voices those sound effects come from when you earn the "Sound off ?" Badge, I'd say it's the Nintendo developers themselves who made the sound effects with their own voices to show how far they've come.

Honestly the talking flowers are the best part of the game, I always found it fun to hear their witty and sometimes humorous comments.
Mario Wonder was such an amazing experience. Can’t wait for future installments to the series!
The final secret badge reminds me of the old Half Life 1/2 mods "I replace every sound with my own voice." And I'm so glad to see the efforts are just as charming now as they were over 10 years ago.
It reminds me of those "My friend sent me this video of him playing Crash Bandicoot at 4 AM" videos

The coin level isn't actually random! It moves to the next world after each attempt, always in a free roam area near the 1st level.
The moment I reached the Piranha Plants on parade level, I knew:

I actually LOVE the talking flowers, I think they're absolutely adorable
The fact that levels always start by some kind of presentation of its concept is really cool, I think.
Pretty sure that's called good game design.
Easter Egg you missed: In piranha plants on parade, after going through the secret pipe to get to the secret exit, behind the poplin house on the regular exit, you will find a pipe formation which is a callback to 1-2 of Super Mario bros for the NES
Glad Nintendo went way more out of the box with this release.

Interesting… the “Sound Off” version of Yoshi extending his tongue says “ptooey” but the original sound effect in his own voice says “peron” which is an onomatopoeia for licking things in Japanese.
i found the peach easter egg very cool. i randomized my character throughout the entire run and just so happened to find that easter egg!

You missed 1 nice detail in the pirahna plant parade. Have you ever wondered where the plants came from in the foreground? There has to be a pipe right? Fortunately if you go to the secret exit after the parade, there are some set of vertical pipes which matches the location of said singing plants

Technically the red pipe that appears during the wonder flower segment is meant as a hint of the secret exit (foreground/background traversal via pipes are often denoted by red pipes in the foreground)
@sinteleon is quite an obscure hint but a hint nonetheless since the talking flower was curious about getting to the background scene. Shame that they didn't build more levels surrounding that concept besides being a secret route
@@xnoobplayerx7715 several purple coins later on does require the foreground / background traversal, and one stage outright forces you to the background at the start (muncher fields)
@@sinteleon true along with that mansion secret where a block was obscuring a door and you blindly have to find a pipe going to the foreground. But yeah, that muncher stage is just 1, why not a bowser jr stage?

You missed watering the little people at the end of stages if you have water in your trunk.
The Sound Off? Badge gives me so much nostalgia for the old mobile game jellycar. It sounds just like the sounds from that old series of games
He did forget about the poor flower undeneath the Bulrush Secret Exit...
Also..you did forget to shoutout the HD rumble.. like walking on note blocks PERFECTLY reflects it.

Brief musical Easter egg I haven’t seen many people mention:
The battleship stages use the airship music from the SMB1 game style in Super Mario Maker (which also gets used in Odyssey)
There were a ton of things in this video that I didn’t see playing through the game! This was so fun to watch
This might not be new, as I hadn't played a 2D Mario game since the DS, but the ground pound using a drum roll sound effect with a cymbal that hits when you hit the ground was a really nice touch too.

It is also worth noting that the sound off badge makes the sounds similar to the jelly ar game created by walaber. I have no idea if nintendo intentionally made the sound off badge be a reference to that game, since jellycar is a game owned by an independent developer, although jellycar 2 was made for the wii with disney interactive studios.
Oh, and in case you are wondering, walaber is the creator of where's my water, which had a jellycar easter egg on the credits screen if you had jellycar 3 installed. This was removed in version 1.18.3, possibly due to walaber no longer working at disney, or maybe because disney no longer had the rights to jellycar. Either way, the files are actually still in the game's files, and the java function to check if jellycar 3 was installed was only removed in version 1.18.8.
All of the KO levels use music from the original Mario Bros

Do you have a play through of the entire game? Great video and commentary! I’d love to see a play through with yoshi - but can you even complete the game as yoshi? I’m not actually sure.
I do not, but through my playthrough I found that Yoshi can beat the game, but not 100%. There are a few levels which are actually impossible without being able to transform.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the High Voltage Gauntlet wonder flower
or all the badges that reference past games like the smb2 jump, luigi's floaty jump, and galaxy spin double jump
The cheep cheeps kiss
In the musical Break Time levels, they forgot to put sharp and flat symbols for the key signature.
Well... What item they couldve used to indicate it? Theres only the 0.1 purple coin and that cant do much to show the player if its sharp or flat unless you go for top right for sharp and bottom right for flat and that still confuses things. So they had to resort of using the notes on neutral
