You can read all you want. As someone who works in academia, the people I am most impressed with are the one's who go beyond the text. They research, immersing themselves into the book, a character, a theme, an idea, whatever and can not only speak on it, but apply to their own life. Being smart, as in all A's, is one thing. Being enriched and constantly inquiring is more important.
