Good video, another thing I would like to add for anyone watching. I just got my 2008 IS250 and it would smell like rotten eggs with out even harsh acceleration. After some research I also saw it’s a common issue with this car. The solution is to replace the rear air ducts. Faulty air ducks let exhaust smell into the cabin. So maybe that’s worth checking out first before going down an unnecessary rabbit hole.
Thanks. Great video! Two more things to do while you're at it is cover or replace the rear air flaps in the left and right side of the boot, under the floor panels. The rubber flaps shrink and break off over time letting the exhaust fumes into the cabin. Also the MAF sensor on the air intake should be cleaned every now and then.
Thanks for the info. I cleaned out the MAF sensor when I clean the throttle body last summer. Didn't know about the rear air flap. I will check that out and get the fixed before my daughter goes with her IS250 out of state for college.
Thanks for the video...Good simple maintenance for the home/novice mechanic. Spark plugs are often neglected. I recently did them on my wife's NX300 and mother-in-law's CRV. Both had 60K+ on the plugs and it was definitely time especially since both are turbocharged engines.
@@aneeshprasobhan def agree with swivel tools 👍though its doable with just skinny socket & extension. Also unbolt the harness on both sides, & of course the intake tube. Be careful with the coil plug clips! :)
Is the egg smell coming from this? Are you sure? If i rev my 250 thru all gears it smells very bad in the first 10 pulls than it goes away its a commen problem with this type off Engine.
A little bit of anti seize cakes whole spark plug 😢 dude you only supposed to put little drop on one dude of the threads and as you put spark plug back in it coats spark plug just enough
I recommend a oil catch can for the pvc valve

Thanks for the feedback. So awesome of you to help your family members out. Thanks for watching.
Wow, you look really young to have a daughter that drives a car.
Also, cool dad to buy her an IS250.
Great video. For my 2014 IS350, it took me 30 to 40 minutes to replace my sparkplugs. It was fairly easy.
Nice work getting it done yourself! Thanks for watching. 👍
i think the 350 plugs can be replaced without removing the intake manifold right ?
@@aneeshprasobhan Yeah, I did it but it required using swivel tools, definitely hard but doable with the right tools.

@@Grimm-14 unfortunately, I have the is250 :(.
