Rick Schmidt Have you ever heard a thoughtful and intelligent person express opinions against gay marriage? I have, and their opinions are worthy of time and consideration. This man is not one of them. He may not be physically assaulting anyone, but he is certainly mentally and emotionally damaging people, especially young people who may be confused and in need of guidance. Hatred and venom are pouring out of this man. He is a bully.
They are ignorant hateful hypocrites who deserve no understanding since they give it to no one else. There is no defending them.

I was raised in a religious household, and I've heard tons of preachers like this. This is pretty normal.
Like, incredibly normal. Preaching like this is expected. I sat through sermons like this three times a week for my entire childhood, up to 18 when I moved out. We lived all over the US, and no matter where you went, you could find preaching exactly like this, and this was always the ones my parents took us too.
Well next time you hear the eve/steve debate say this.
