Perry Stone lives in my hometown. He was checking his phone for prayer requests coming in through texts, so he could make sure to pray for people. One lady had cancer. Perry has a wonderful heart, and is one of the most gifted evangelists in the world. Don't assume you know everything going on in a situation. You don't know this man period! Stop blaspheming the Holy Ghost, and stop judging this man of God. Praying for everyone making fun of our Perry Stone. We love him! Shame on everyone that mocked this man. I thought this was hilarious, & showed my Mom (who was raised religious & still believes to an extent...Not all, but some of it). It was funny, at first. But then she said "What's his name." So I searched & told her 'Perry Stone'. She looked absolutely _horrified._ She's met him, he's from the same denomination as she is. She's caught between laughing & being upset, because he's turning something she feels strongly about into a joke.
Not what I was expecting when I decided to show her. FYI: Yeah, she agrees he was full of shit in that video. I honestly told her that my assumption was that the only text that was probably important enough to distract him from that was probably from his mistress.
