And 1985 I purchased an AMC eagle station wagon which was an exceptional car. In the mid-1980s AMC was sold to the Chrysler corporation mostly for Jeep under the lee Iacocca. AMC was a very good car. Enjoy yours. From Key West Florida.
I learned to drive on my parent's 1980 2-door Burnt Sienna Eagle sedan. My second car was a 1982 4-door white and tan Eagle sedan. My 4-door had one fender that had been replaced due to an accident, and the new fender was already rusting while the rest of the car was fine. I learned that the Eagle bodies were supposedly galvanized at the factory while the Concord and Spirit bodies weren't. I've been a Jeep lover ever since the Eagle days and I'm looking for a project Eagle to round out my fleet.
My aunt had one it was so solid and beautifully engineered. The handling was tight and pretty responsive. What you just dont feel nowadays. Plus the interiors were very comfy. Ahead of its time and dare I say a diamond in the rough cause you hit the four wheel drive and wham any steep rough road was nothing! I WANT IT!
Dane! So another awesome video....that Eagle turned out beautiful! Those Limited models had the sweetest interiors; great leather and that plush carpeting....Eagle did offer some wire wheel covers on those cars, they are possibly original and look great...Nice job, man!
When I was a kid and these were new, I wanted one of these or a Subaru Brat! I loved the marine style cup holder they had in these to the left of the steering column.
You really found a good one, this one must have really low miles because it’s in great condition. You’re right the people that owned it took good care of it. I can’t blame you for not wanting to get rid of it. I will drive it around with a smile on my face as well great job.
AMC was really good at keeping cost down, this may be a 4wd Eagle but in the early 70's it was a Hornet wagon or if you took a meat clever and sliced off everything behind the "B" pillar it was a Gremlin. The basic inline 6cyl and simple platform kept AMC afloat for many years.
From the UK I've never seen or heard of one of these AMC Eagle wagons but I gotta say it's my favourite car I've seen on your channel so far, retro cars on the trend right now and awesome detailing work it's car therapy watching your videos from across the pond 🇬🇧👍🏻
Great job on the detail. Although I like AMC Eagles, I'm really digging that Lincoln hiding in the corner of your shop. It looks like a Mobsteel build!
I wanted one of these cars so bad. Allas I could not afford a new car. Way ahead of their times. That 6cyl engine is great too. That is a keeper as you said.
Brings back great childhood memories. My best friends mom drove us around in hers, it was the same color scheme. I don’t remember it having wire wheel covers though. Enjoy!
Not sure of the exact styling lineage, but it’s much like looking at a pic of an old forefather, you can almost see the lines of a Jeep Grand Cherokee in this car! I love AMCs - always the coolest car lot in town!
One of the other two Eagles has the rare factory air compressor/ auto rear leveling air compressor. There should be a hose in the rear to pump up your tires.
Good luck on the AMC Concord project, David. Go by the book on this; give it a transformation it never saw coming. Have a great Christmas & safe 2025 season to you.
you really got an awesome deal and now, cleaned up, that car is easily worth 4 to 6 grand.....it needs little to be a great car plus, you've got the real leather interior, not the vinyl or the cloth, but leather!!! They are awesome cars and extremely tough and reliable....they go anywhere just like their family relative, the Jeep.
Enjoy watching, but please provide more detail on the products and pads you are using. What product did you use before you used steam on the carpets, and why?
I'll explain more in future videos with the new product line I'm about to start using! But for now I was Useing Franks Special Cleaner from Siler Sales Website! 🔥
a good friend had an 81 Eagle. They were good cars (for that time frame, which doesn't say much). I saw an Eagle go at auction in Cental Pa auction for 25 grand a few years ago.... of course, that requires two bidders with deep pockets.
From sitting the underside is alil crusty, and there is a slight weak spot on driver side. In future I'll repair that and paint the chassis. But usually these things are GONE! If you seen from my previous videos the silver one got ripped in half 😂
You could make the argument that the AMC Eagle was the first, real SUV. Given the size of that ash-tray hanging from the dash, I hope you were able to get the cigarette smell out of it.
Enjoyed this video! I remember these cars they were great in the snow!! Not a bad price for $333 a car!! Plus that bag of quarters knocked it down even more! lol btw how many miles were on it?
I have a factory cargo cover for the rear in that color . They had one at a pick and pull a few years ago snagged that and a few other pieces before the crusher got it
Newer Subaru family wagons took some inspiration from these AMC, too bad the brand never really took off so It could really compete with the big boys of Detroit, too bad, their cars were a little different and quirky, but at least they aged to these cool retro machines.
Too bad you're in Northern Michigan you could make a bundle of money detailing cars down here in Southern Texas. i'd pay you $500 + to detail my car that way and maybe more ! Love your videos can't wait till you've got the red one done
I was married in 1981. We went on our honeymoon in Jacksonville Florida. We rented a car. A AMC jeep eagle , it was brand new. It was summer and hot as hell. We were driving around downtown and my husband who was driving, said the car would not go in park. However it was still running. I crawled over the center console and got in the driver seat while he held the brake for me. He went under the car on the flaming hot asphalt, and discovered that the shift linkage had come detached. He Jerry rigged it with something I had in my purse and away we went.
Mice don't get into all old cars......anyone who owns an old car and puts it in storage needs a Cat. The Cat will kill all mice. I'm a collector and have never had mice in any of my cars because I own a Cat....it's that simple.
Awesome choice. Love the simple no nonsense video and explanation. Never long winded. Keep it up
Thanks, I appreciate it! I like to get in and get out so people don't get bored. 🎥
Excellent job detailing the Eagle!!
Great job on the AMC. It’s one of my favorite cars.
Appreciate it, I love Eagles too! 🔥

Dude! Amazing! Thank you for saving a non-traditional American made vehicle!!! Envy here!
Well done. Cleaning the underside of the hood is a nice touch!

@jamesphilip6737 Thanks you i appreciate it 🙏
Beautiful makeover, she looks great! I'm curious how the maroon Eagle will look like when you decide to clean it up as well.
Keep tuned to find out! The maroon one gets it's turn here in just a couple weeks! 🔥

The eagles are cool! 🔥

Thanks I appreciate it 🙏 Eagle has 95k miles. Not super low, but still low for a 40 year old car.
@ really good condition for being that age of eagle

Nice looking American car. Keep it.
I'll keep it till I die along with one to many others 😂
@DetailDane you are a good man sir keep those american cars on the road.
Keep it! Those things are getting harder to find and it's a "Limited" edition top of the line with all the bells and whistles.
I need to deep clean my Eagle. Sweet!!
Great job on the detail. Although I like AMC Eagles, I'm really digging that Lincoln hiding in the corner of your shop. It looks like a Mobsteel build!
I appreciate it! A series painting that car is in the near future stay tuned 😎
Took my drivers test in one, Loved that car. It would go through any snow we pointed it at.
We had a blue two door Eagle with a 4 speed transmission. I love these cars.
They are super cool! 🔥
Enjoy!
I had a silver with maroon trim 4 door Eagle Wagon, we had a big snow and I pulled my 2 cousins on sleds behind it through the snow. Had a blast!

One of the other two Eagles has the rare factory air compressor/ auto rear leveling air compressor. There should be a hose in the rear to pump up your tires.
That is a sharp looking car. It's a keeper for sure
Good luck on the AMC Concord project, David. Go by the book on this; give it a transformation it never saw coming. Have a great Christmas & safe 2025 season to you.
Appreciate it, I'm on it 😎
Cleaned up real nice. Would be great to know what cleaning supplies you used for the clean up.
Total Respect love this year Eagle Perfection
🙌🙌
Great job. I love it that uou like this unique car. I hope it turns out to be an amazing deal for you.
Nice job, don't forget the milk & eggs!

Very cool, looking forward to more On these cars
AMCs are wonderful cars. Four of my 20 AMCs are Eagles. Two of those are restored originals and one has an AMC 360 V8. Yes, had to do that for fun.
I might have to do that to the maroon one 🤔
I have a 87 eagle, and I love mine and I'm starting to get it back on the road slowly I want to bring it to the AMC show in Kenosha WI in 2025
As calotas cromadas e pneus faixa branca deixaram o carro antigo muito elegante.
You could make the argument that the AMC Eagle was the first, real SUV. Given the size of that ash-tray hanging from the dash, I hope you were able to get the cigarette smell out of it.
He hasn't smoked in it, in 13 years thankfully no smell or burns!
Them wire wheels are for sure the original ones for the car but it would look better with either one of the alloy wheels or the fan blade hubcaps
I think so too 🔥
Enjoyed this video! I remember these cars they were great in the snow!! Not a bad price for $333 a car!! Plus that bag of quarters knocked it down even more! lol btw how many miles were on it?
Car's already paying for itself 😂😂😂😂 love the asmr
