The Story of Vagn Akesson is based in the late 10th century at the height of the Viking age. As Vagn was growing up, there was a Viking mercenary order that were becoming famous all over the world for their military exploits and legendary fighting ability. That group was the Jomsvikings, a brotherhood who would fight anyone as long as they were paid handsomely. The ideologies of the Jomsvikings were simple, they placed heavy emphasis on the importance on battle and being brave, they were honourable and longed to die in battle to reach the mythical hall with the Gods and other legendary fallen warriors of history. They were also fiercely loyal to each other and as a brotherhood, they would avenge one another as if a fellow warrior died a blood feud would start with their killer.

As a Scandinavian myself... it's still a bit of a shame that so much of Viking history is documented in tales and witnesses and not much by them themselves. (compared to many contemporary civilizations) Runestones and such were usually erected with short descriptions without details.
At the same time, this contributes to historical delightful mystery and speculation.
Thank you for a great video

I think they were ashamed of their actions, that is why they did not document it. The people they attacked did though.

In my deduction of Jarl Sigvaldr Strut-Haraldsson he departed from the JomsVikingr to take over his father Harald Strut-Haraldsson's Realm of Skane a little while later after the sea battle of Svoldr in the Year 1000.
Being so he departed in the Year 1004 the JomsVikingr fort of Wolin.
While his brother Thorkald Strut-,Haraldsson the Tall becoming the 4Th Leader to take Kommand of the JomsVikingr.
