Thank you for the short format.
Thank you. I like the concept of three things. My challenge is that I have allowed everything to get to a crisis point and now I don't know how to prioritize -- a lawsuit, a serious health condition (and no health insurance), delinquent taxes, eliminate a storage unit I can no longer afford, etc.
Yes, I agree. We also tend to avoid the uncomfortable/akward tasks. I find having a "to-do" list for the week, where I can also "brain dump" anything I think needs to happen (at some point). The things I don't do that week are transferred to the next week. Then every day, I look at the list and prioritize one to three things outside of my daily routine. I do think three (additional) things a day can sometimes be too much to focus on.
Sorry to hear that you've at a crisis point with so many things - that's tough! One suggestion would be to flip a coin between any two options from your brain dump list, so you at least are starting somewhere. You could even do three coin flips to decide which three priorities/tasks to put on your short/post-it note list to do that day. Wishing you good progress!
Honestly I think it sounds like I would need external help to deal with something like this. There is always someone who is willing to lend a hand. I hope you can get some trusted people to help you with these things.
@songindarkness Thank you. I took a decluttering class and one of my classmates, a retired social worker, offered to help. Grateful.
❤ Dr. Salines presentations...so human and warm
Thanks for discussing prioritizing! Having a brain dump list and then a shorter list of 3 tasks for the day gets tasks out of your head and onto paper and then highlights just a few tasks to focus on so it's less overwhelming, which is great!
I love it! Thank you!
