It’s a nightmare trying to ship your pet to Hawaii. You need your animal chipped,with the recordable chip number documented from your vet. Then your pet must have current up to date rabies vaccination,along with proper blood test. Then you have to pay all the fees that go along with it. Me and my wife lived in Oahu in the city of Mililani for about 14 months. She was stationed at Schofield during her last 14 months of service. We decided to leave our dog and cat home with our parents because it was a major hassle to bring them to Hawaii. They needed more documentation than we did,plus it was crazy expensive to bring them to Hawaii. But I can understand why Hawaii wants to protect and preserve their wildlife on the Islands,so no diseases break out.
It is definitely difficult which is why I made this video and I would suggest if budget allows it to hire a professional pet moving company. We do have a few out here.

You said the permit required Original rabies vaccination certificates for the two most recent rabies vaccines. Does this mean the permit does not require the blood test results as well? Can you get the permit before this and just get the pets cleared afterwards?
No you will need the blood test as well.
Do they take the dogs out of the crate at all? Or can they stay in their crate until you receive them? My dog was missing once for a very long time and I’m nervous to bring him on a flight if they try and take him out.
Depending on size of dog sometimes you can have them on the flight with you but best to check with your airline and or the pet transfer department.
I have a 70lb pitbull mut that was once a service animal. But he is not registered in my name. Unfortunately his anxiety is very severe when he's not by my side. I have tried my best to call airlines to see if they would allow my pet in the cabin and the answer is always no. I even offer to pay the entire row of seats. So unfortunately I can't make make the move until my pet passes away. (not to be morbid).

if i want to board my dog for 6 months in Hawaii instead of your way, can i visit them at the boarding place for 6 months and what does it run price ?
Not sure price but yes you can visit them when you board them.
Great info man but this is too much. Hawaii is very strict about importing pets. I was gonna get a dog sent here but the pup gonna be old as me by the time he gets here

So my dog got her rabies vaccination last December and it was an annual one. Then we got her annual one on January 23rd does she need any other shots I’m like super confused by it

Can I do the FAVN antibody test, blood test at my local vet and they send the result to the approved lab? I'm confused on this one.
Your local vet will draw blood for the FAVN test, and they will send it to the lab. Results may take up to 30 days.
I have this same question, in your price breakdown you metnioned this should cost around $65. My vet quoted me $375 for this per dog, I have two. What do you think? Should i call around and try to find a different vet to do the blood draw for the antibody test?
How do you get the niip?
Not sure did a qick google search and looks like there is some great resources on who to call but I am not sure which one is best.

What do you mean two rabies shots? Nobody can seem to actually answer this question. Do you mean to sets of being fully vaccinated? As in they would have to be a year old to have them? Do you mean they have to get 2 extra ones on top of what they've had in their life time? Or are you talking about the set they get as puppies?

Your comment about hand holding was unnecessary as this is an extremely complicated process and the whole point of watching this video was to learn. Also, you speak way too fast. Also, you make no mention of the quarantine or the trauma pets feel being put under the planes let alone the risk they they could die down there.
